Here it is, my magnum opus. America and Japan today are close allies, though this wasn't always the case. Japan used to be a secluded nation, abstaining from contact from the West. However, using gunboat diplomacy, America managed to open Japan for trade. Since then, Japan sought to follow the same imperialist path as the rest of the Western countries. Ultimately leading to its expansion into East Asia. America and Japan fought agaisn't each other during World War 2. And now are close allies.

America intresing also tried that kinda with korea (they where also looking into what happened to a merchant ship that illegally by Korean law went up there river to there capital, and the ship was burned and survivors killed, it's now depicted on north korean postage) US even took a fort on a island and many prisoners in like less then 20 minutes they expected Koreans to negotiate for these but the koreans basically keep em and the island. US didn't really want to go to war in a foreign land, and they already proved to other powers that they weren't weak and did retaliate.

The fact that the German voice is just deep and doesn't sound even remotely or even stereotypically German. XD Also, I'm surprised you've made a video about Japan and America's history without one mention of the Philippines. Although arguably, the mention of America's -colonies- overseas territories counts.

Japanese christmas fun facts: they dont spend time with there loved ones, they spend time with friends or dates, They celebrate christmas on either the 24th or 23rd, They have christmas cake for christmas which is Strawberry cake with sugar santas, And they eat KFC because a guy in 1970s heard people from the USA talking about how they cant have Turkey for there christmas dinner so he decided to make KFC fitted for the season, and now you need to order a month in advance for your christmas KFC, it's too late now.

Great video as always! Actually better than ever, One thing I must ask is that a while back you said you wanted to go to college in Argentina. Has that gone anywhere?

Thank you! And I think I should start that in a couple of months, but it's not necesarily animation which is what I want to do. So I'll just go along with it until I can save up enough to study proper animatio somewhere else.

Umm why do the German soldiers have British helmets? I'm pretty sure they have an iconic bowl type helmet that was used in something called Star Wars.

As much as I love America, it was wrong to force Japan to open up. They weren't doing anything wrong. Weird though, it was kinda us that made them a Superpower. Ironically it was us that deafeted them years later

Even more ironic, even if America didn't force Japan to open up to trade and the international community they would've either been invaded or influenced by European countries like England or Russia. Imagine if Japan became a colony for Germany.
