Anyone can say what they mean about the last movie in the Dark Knight Trilogy, but i find this movie excellent! To this point Batman had never been tested against such a physical force like Bane and especially the return of Batman gives me the chills! I know most fans are like: ahh tom hardy will never be as good as Heath Ledger was, but i think no one ever will, Hardy gives a new type of antagonism to the movie and this scene we se the Human-Bane, not the monster! The emotion and surprise on Bane's face when he asks: "I broke you, how have you come back?" as he for the first time in his life is beaten in one-on-one combat, and the love for Talia, in how he says "Good by"! Great movie, Great actors!

I love this twist, and can't see the movie playing out without it since it ties in neatly before Batman Begins and helps bring the storyline of the League of Shadows full circle (I mean come on if they did Ra's al Ghul it's logical to use Talia). In Batman Begins when Ra's talked about his wife and because he never mentioned Talia, in retrospect it makes sense since why he didn't mention Talia since they were estranged. Talia and Bane forgiving Ra's after his death than coming back to finish off Gotham works since they still believe in the philosophy of The League of Shadows and want to fulfill their jobs. In hindsight why Talia wanted to finish off destroying Gorham and waited longer makes sense. She worked for Wayne Enterprises for years and wanted the clean energy project to be fulfilled to help Gotham further, especially after Batman and the police locked up the mob, then only after Bruce (understandably) shelved the project she and Bane decided to use it against him. Add on Bane working for Daggett, a corrupt businessman, and finding Gordon's letter revealing the truth about the Dent Act which lied to the people of the city for years; it all comes together. Since Bane was Talia's protector in the pit and was shaped by his upbringing in The League of Shadows, them working together adds to his character more, it doesn't undermine him in any way. There were clues and buildup to this reveal throughout the film too since Talia was set up as Miranda Tate to be a kind businesswoman who wanted to aid Bruce in helping Gotham, she was a false hope similar to what Harvey Dent was. Christopher and Jonathan Nolan also drew inspiration from the villains of the classic novel "A Tale of Two Cities" as inspiration for Bane and Talia as villains.

I wish Nolan could have found a way to work this twist into the movie at an earlier stage. This is a good scene and Talia is cool the little we see of her, but she really needed a bit more screen time. Nolan unfortunately did not make good use of the time that she pretended to be Miranda, making her bland and boring before the reveal. This unlike in Batman Begins when Ra's Al Ghul was always interesting even when he was pretending to be Henri Ducard. So to mitigate that, the reveal should have happened sooner.
@jondrake19775 жыл бұрын
The only thing I didn't like about the twists is that general fans don't really know who the Al Ghuls are. Ra's Al Ghul could have easily worked if he had been identified at the start, nearly killed and then come back. Talia could have worked too pretending to want to right her fathers wrongs only to be crazy at the end.

I really wish the league was still using black armor and swords like in the first film. Guns they could still use but they needed that other stuff too. Would have been cool to see Batman and bane start their fight using swords to pay homage to the man who trained them both. Plus since talia was trained by the league would have been cool to see her fight especially on surprising Batman.

Armor plate separation, Introduced in "The Dark Knight"..... Bruce asked for a suit that gave a greater range of movement. This was made possible by segmenting the armor plates into smaller groups. The downside to these changes is that it makes it a lot easier to slip a knife between the plates or to get a lucky stab in. Plus no under plating was added to fill in where there were gaps.

Agreed. I think the twist with Talia being the main villain is powerful, because it shows just how personal her attack on Gotham is. Also, some people like to suggest that it came out of nowhere. If you can't look at a movie on it's own merits based off a comedy video, you're doing something wrong.

This Talia is much more colder than in the comics because Talia was madly in love with Bruce.
