@@picklesthecat6751 Another midwestener here, I can confirm there's things out here that just don't got a rational explanation to them. I've seen a few times deer that are weirdly bloated, if bloated is even the right word. Lumpy and swollen like it ate somethin that's bigger than itself. Like a huge mishappen marshmellow held up by impossibly thin toothpicks that could never hold the weight but do. I saw it casually walk onto the road right infront of my car with my lights blarin at it and I had to make a hard sudden break to not hit it. It barely even gave me a glace like it didn't even notice it almost got hit. It moved like a baby deer just learnin how to walk but was clearly grown and huge. Moved like it's legs were broken or somethin but there was no blood or anything to explain it away with an injury. I don't believe in the supernatural or any cryptids but there's some things you just can't deny. The woods are nice, but they aren't kind.

The rules of the Appalachia apply to the Midwest: If you see something in the corn/forest, no you didn’t. Don’t talk about it/mention it until you’re as far away as possible. That could be a coyote or a fox screaming…but it could possibly be something else. You can look at the corn/trees, but not in them. If you hear a weird sound, just assume it’s the neighbors messing around/someone messing around (unless you genuinely think someone is in danger). I don’t recommend walking on a dirt road late at night, you’ll probably see or hear something you don’t want to. If everything goes silent, animals, bugs, nature: get out of there. That is a sign of a predator or something paranormal (from what I know) Feel free to add more rules for people to follow when they move to the Midwest and ask about the weird stuff that happens here! These are just what I know and I also follow these rules for a reason lol

As a Midwesterner, I absolutely love this playlist. I didn't grow up in the country, but I spent every summer out in rural areas and this playlist invokes feelings of nostalgia for me. It's very fitting for the whole "haunted cornfield/forest/farm" vibe. Wonderful picks.

im from texas which im pretty sure isnt even part of the midwest (pretty texas is part of the south) but even ive seen really weird stuff in the woods and around the cow and corn fields
