One of Wise's finest. Can hear the clear lineage with DKC and Killer Instinct (which he didn't work on, allegedly though the main theme shares a lot with this)

It makes me so happy that people still listen to obscure game sound tracks like this, the arcade battletoads is (for me personally) the best thing the battletoads has to offer, the beatem up gameplay is absolutely solid, memorable bosses, outstanding music and amazing bits of comedy sprinkled in (like when you grab the big guys balls and punch them repeatedly, all coming together into an amazing package I love this game and everything it has too offer even if it has the coin stealing arcade stank

@@ColdestBandito that always blew my mind. This arcade was fantastic and exactly what they should’ve been. The home version games were always loaded with stupid stages with bikes / racing / puzzle Bs that was just overly frustrating. I remember seeing this arcade the first time and being like “DID THAT TOAD JUST CUT THAT RATS HEAD OFF?!” 😂

That going great with game itself, because it comes after Karnath Stage, where you was stressed because fight was hard (and if you play it at childhood, like me, you also can be scared of Karnath and his boss fight, it was very brutal to die/get damaged from him, I always felt it at personal level). And when you finally finishing him, and going to next stage, that music and stage itself give you a chills. Like you again became a hunter, not a prey, and you just start brutally killing all again. Also it give a lot of melancholy, it's great music to listen after hard work day/something else like that.

I played the game on the MAME emulator, Pimple is my favorite cause he's the tuff one, and this soundtrack is amazing

I don't know why battletoads arcade was so hated. The detail put into it was crazy. Plus this game was made only 2 years before super mario 64.
