Claire's comment "how do I know what kind of meals are over there" reminded me of my brother in law talking to my son's girlfriend who worked in a pub which also did meals and he asked her " Do they do sit down food?"

Reminds me,. Back in the early 70's with all the power cuts, we had to sit round a candle to keep warm,. Then when it got really cold my Dad would light it,,,.......

My husband has been following you and showed me your video of Skye, we stayed on the same campsite in Dunvegan and we were fortunate with the weather when we went. Love the way you guys bounce of each other and your understated humour which is similar to ours. Some people don’t get it, but we love watching your channel. Happy travels

Love Skye. Used to live there, next to Dunvegan in fact. You’ve reminded us how bad the weather is. We live in Wales now and it’s a dream by comparison!! Great memories though so thank you ❤

We had our honeymoon at Dunvegan 49 years ago,it was brilliant in those days,watching the many crofters working, pony trekking on highland ponies,being rowed round Donovan’s island retreat, and visiting the coral beach. We returned 3 years ago, such a massive change for the worse, scarcely any crofters,all private houses poshed up beyond recognition,thousands of people there now . Gone is the wild lonely place that I remembered. Still beautiful though. Think you’ve gone at the right time of year. Have a lovely time and thanks for stirring up my memories!

Looks like your trip to Skye went the same way as ours a couple of years ago. Had a heatwave, 80°+, for the first three weeks in Scotland (little ginger people bursting in to flames everywhere 😂) Then as soon as we got to Skye, torrential rain, 70+ mph winds😢. Apart from Dunvegan Castle (“There can be only one” - if you know, you know) wasn’t impressed. The drive to Skye though was absolutely awesome! Sadly you missed it going by ferry. Were off to Bonnie Scotland for the summer so fingers crossed for the weather 🤞

Listening to you talk about the potholes made me laugh. If it wasn’t for the commentary of my OH fuming about potholes there would be no conversation on some journeys. He drives the car like a skier doing the slalom to avoid them. Terrifying.

We stayed on pitch 13 too, same weather 2 years ago but did see the northern lights from there…we are staying Arisaig this week and hoping we can get the ferry instead of driving around but…we have ferry to Tarbet booked so not stopping….wasnt my favourite place either but also brought our own sunshine…the dog! lol love your videos and banter it’s great xx

We stayed at Glenbrittle in August 2022 it was packed, the weather was gorgeous and no midges. We had a lovely walk along the top with Molly, Polly and our other dog Charlie who died last year. Happy times. Nice to see you loving Scotland like we do.

Claire's giggle on about the meals, had us belly laughing and reminded us of when I ordered butter chicken in a Indian, Darren asked have you ever had butter chicken, but I heard have you ever bought a chicken... I looked at him as if he was daft and said of course I've bought a chicken. It was when I saw him put his head down as his shoulders started jigging up and down I realised he was laughing and I'd said something stupid... I then deciphered what he'd really said and couldn't stop laughing.... Finally we composed ourselves as the starters arrived. Until the next table ordered Buttered chicken 😂😂😂😂😂 Great vlog guys and sorry to say we used the co op for diesel, booo Codgers 😂

Just back from Skye today, we were there for a week and were very lucky with the weather hardly any wind and mostly sunshine no rain. Love your videos so upbeat and humorous, Claire's laugh just kills me, keep it up guys. Unfortunately back to normal life here in Cheshire, but we had a great week.

We went there last September the weather was very kind to us. We towed the caravan all the way to Skye over the bridge all I remember it very very windy going over 😮. Beautiful place would love to go back in the motorhome. It’s worth seeing the north east part some beautiful views of Harris. One thing for sure you won’t be affected by the midges. Great video thanks for sharing.

Morning Guy's Quality 😊, you're sense of humour just keeps getting better and the one liners 😂. This trip defo reminds us of our honeymoon, but we had 3 weeks in a tent ⛺️, now that was a challenge 😮, still is after 25 yrs 😂. The isle of Skye is fabulous the wildlife in particular, the weather has been terrible everywhere at the moment 6 degrees in Hampshire,we are all looking forward to the two weeks of summer that we sometimes get then we can complain about how hot it is, we were lucky enough to see golden eagles when we went.

We went in February about 3 years ago in a hired van…omg! We had a storm while on Skye & the ferry & bridge closed after our first night. So worried about damage to the van & we had nowhere to stay. We ended up ‘hunkered down’ in Talisker distillery car park for the night & obviously would have been rude not to go in for a few tasters. The car park was in a bit of a dip & we survived the night with a lot of buffering!

We stayed at sango sands in nearly a hurricane, we were given the most beautiful pitch ( would have been on a sunny day ), at a high level, right at the very front, over the cliffs very near the view point. That night, sleeping in our van was just like trying to sleep in a tumble drier. The wife had a panic attack, fearing we would be blown off into the surf below, never slept at all, mythering all night and the next day she demanded to me that we be moved. Fortunately other hardy souls snapped the chance up and we swapped. She was finally happy then, well for at least 5 minutes, which is good for her being Scottish. I being English, which isn't a very good combination at the best of times. Which this wasn't.
