I think plastic will be one of those things banned in the future like lead in paint and other things. It’s in our water and everything. Terrible product. Glad you’re spreading awareness with this guy on the pod

Plastic is a very broad term. Certain plastics should be banned now, yes. But there are some plastics that we will likely continue to use.

@@TheOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO It's truly a terrifying insight when you dig a little bit and realize just how much "stuff" is manufactured from petroleum and petroleum by-products. It's basically everything.

Great episode -- thank you for increasing awareness on such a dismaying issue. I enjoy and appreciate the assiduos effort and creativity put into the production value of CAMP. The intro editing of this ep seemed to be just slightly heavy-handed. That being said, it's been great to watch your style evolve while still maintaining a high level of journalistic credibility. I just don't want one of my fav podcasts to become yet another victim to the rampant "hype cult"

My understanding is that the vast majority of microplastics come from tires. Frankly it seems like reducing the number of cars on the road would have the biggest impact.

You gotta check out Del Bigtree. He's from a show called, The Highwire. A ton of knowledge on vaccines. I like his show because after he discusses topics, he provides receipts. Side note that never came to be: Del and RFK were suppose to be a part of a committee in regards to vaccines during Trump's presidency but it never happened. Check him out before you knock your wifey up. 😆

Ads are miserable, we finally got away from them and now they are on streaming platforms and every podcast. Soon we will be watch 10-15 minutes of ads again. Full circle

Yup. 45 minutes out of an hour cable show in the 90s 15 commercials automatically. Same shit smh PLUS ads INSIDE the videos so even when you pay extra to not have them you still get them.

He's probably getting paid more for having his length and frequency of ads compared to Lex dude, but I do think some of them are just a tad cringe and he should change them a bit like the bluechew one lol bugs the fuck out of me when I hear it and I'm driving and cant easily skip
