Soma, not sure how much you read this stuff. But I have a buddy who is colorblind. For the longest time when going to hell he would complain about how insanely dark it was and it wasn't until recently I made the connection that it is because he cannot see red. So all the red on the walls and everything basically just make a black abyss for him. Is there anyway to ask the devs if they plan to add a colorblind mode? I feel like it must be an easy implementation just adding a filter or something. Keep up the good work dudes!

at first i hated it and gave it a bad review . the game is so hard / challanging but sametime fun (with other players even more ) . i never had so much with an rpg for the last years , since every game nowadays is somehow dissappointing . i always turn off lights and lamps i see because i love fighting players in the dark . i bought the game today because i cant decide between classes and i want to support the devs.

It was good to hear the devs talking about the F2P steam launch and proving without a shadow of a doubt they had nothing but the best intentions for the game and their community. It’s really unfortunate that the jaded mainstream gaming community can’t understand their reasoning for their decision making. Normals was the most popular and fair mode and a great introduction to the game. (I would love to see any 2 hour Timmies first high roller raid.) The main thing holding the game back is RMT and the region of unknown origin preventing F2P users from having the full experience with the game. It’s also great to see the devs having lightning fast reactions and patches reacting to community feedback. I hope the steam review section begins to reflect the amount of effort and love they put into their product

I've been pretty critical about the balance in the game in recent months since I've been stuck playing solos since my boys don't like the game balance either and a lotta people have given me shit about it. I don't regret being negative at first in my steam review since I think the game isn't the most fun right now in HR. But man, I friggan love Terence lol. The man just exudes wholesome honesty and it's the best thing. Him and SDF giving their time for these Dev Q&A's are the exact reason I said even when I'm critical and don't like the spot some of the game is in I'll be an Ironmace supporter. These guys hooked us up with the best gaming experience I've had in my life probably and they continue to drop actual bomb ass content every time they bring it to the table. I'll play any game they ever try to make after DaD if it ever goes to that point. Much love to the Ironmace team!

Im not sure if was asked and i missed it but will they consider adding modifiers to maps like when crypts was blue. Or maybe variants of maps that have different enemies in rooms so they cant be memorized.

My procrastination always bites me in the ass. I lost out on 2 of the end of season quest rewards because of the early timer wipe.

One thing I'd HEAVILY recommend... improving the mini-map and allowing UI scaling / color customization for the icons. The color customization is secondary but the main reason is due to people having various forms of color blindness and just user preference. Too often developers will be passionate about a project and that makes them kind of force the players to play the game they want them to play rather than just making a good game for them in general. Forcing lore or specific mechanics, etc. But most often players just want freedom of choice. UI customization is a severely lacking focus of many developers. The blue and red escape icons are incredibly hard to see. Since the mini-map was made to be a bit more artistic than functional some of the dark folds can even look like the blue rope escape portal. It's just incredibly hard to see the blue icons and the mini-map itself is small and can't be enlarged with makes the ratio worse thus affecting the icon image quality further. If you look at videos explaining how to extract in this game... you'll notice like 80% of the comments are talking about how they have trouble escaping because it's so unclear on the mini-map and there's no real explanation of the process. You don't need to create a tutorial to explain it. All you need to do is add UI scaling for the mini-map, make the contrasting colors easier to see, and potentially add being able to customize your mini-map appearance and icon coloring to accommodate color blind people or just allow people to have their own customized mini-map which functions better for their personal needs. Hopefully a dev sees this.

I really want them to add a skill to Warlock that empowers their melee attack with a specific curse similar to the one that does anti heal rn but allow us to PICK the curse it applies. But if I could play melee warlock and pop an ability so my melee could apply curse of pain my life would be complete and it would feel alittle less clunky trying to play melee lock and switching back and forth between melee and a spell book

Another interview with the devs, you guys are just legends! I'm also glad they took the BR circle out, that was not what I wanted from dungeon delving, pvp, extraction game.

Crashes have been way down for me personally. Been playing awhile and I almost never crash now, didn’t even realize it until they started talking about it. The game has been incredibly fun since the new wipe, ironmace absolutely killed it. Having secrets is so cool too like not fully announcing ice abyss and just putting it in the game is cool. Surprises like that are great.

57:57 I like the drastically different playstyles you can have for a Fighter: PDR, Slayer, Longsword. I just hope that other classes can get the same love in the future. Being funneled into a turbo-optimal min-max sweat build always seems disappointing when the devs worked hard at designing all these different skills and perks that nobody uses.

Id like to go out on a limb and say the reason why normal mode was more popular is because its been significantly more balanced. HR with the old +add damage/+True damage is a big reason as to why people stopped playing HR.

Soma can you please for the love of God get it through iron mace head that quests should be account wide and not vary character to character?? Not everybody plays on single class.. those who play multiple classes should still be able to quests progress..

I REALLY want multifloors to come back. Probably going to need quite a bit more maps for that. Future thing that would be cool is a something like Halo Forge where the community can make maps and IM can look at them and use them in matchmaking. They also need to figure out a way to balance the game a little better. You can take out a fully geared player in Tarkov with a couple shots with a starter weapon. You can't out play a class with a legendary helm using a ranger, warlock or wizard. Isn't happening. I have no clue how they could balance it but the balance definitely isn't there. Love the game and it's fun af but some of the classes feel so underpowered it's not even funny.

They can rework the cave in system to take out parts of the map one by one.

I’m actually so sad. I’ve been lying to myself saying “ruins is going to be reworked and then put back as the first stage” hearing the devs confirm my darkest fears is so sad. Sounds like it’s dead in the water. Stashing items doesn’t solve any of the problems people complained about and merging lobbies sounds stupid. Can’t believe we lost the three dungeon system because the people complaining would wipe the lobby in ruins. Well duhh you aren’t going to see anyone in the lower levels, you killed the them all 😭😭

Item flipping is called "Market PvP", players actually enjoy this. Some players spend hours a day buying and selling to make money. This is a valid form of gameplay with economic risk and rewards.

Can you imagine if they did allow 4 player parties the whinging and whining from everyone all over again about balance etc, whilst I love the idea of 4 players the toxic community (discord) would cause such a stir again. People need to realise that you simply cannot balance every single class and expect them to go toe to toe solo. Once folks realise that some classes are better grouped and some are better solo then we can put balance aside and focus on increasing party sizes etc

I didnt like the way IM did f2p, but I dont understand how so many veterans review bombed this game. Its not real f2p but i dont believe for a second, that a new player would go out of his way to write a negative review after 0.2hrs played about those issues with f2p. A new player would only notice those problems 10-15h into playing(or at least not at this rate). They have mostly been gaslit in discord or steamreviews, or arent new players but vets pretending to be new.
