Old 70's bassist here. Damn that drummer knows how to do everything right....tone, dynamics, musicality, pocket...the works. Great band....so good to see this stuff isnt dead...and why should it be...its brilliant.

And this is exactly why I think a power trio is the purest form of a such thing called "band". Rory Gallagher knew, Jimi Hendrix knew, Cream knew, Dave Simpson Trio knows.....

I think when people think off Power Trios yes Cream one of my favorite, I am a big Jack Bruce fan, and of course The Experience, started listening to them around same time at 13 am 58 now, I would put Blue Cheer just for there raw loud in your face sound. But I think maybe the best, Mountain Leslie West with his one Bridge P90 then Mumbucker Les Paul Jr, Corey Lang and the great Felex Peppalardi's voice, Arrangements and Holding down the bottom, not like Jack but to serve the song. And we know what he did with Cream. Producing and help Arrangements. Kings X is another over looked P.T. Doug Pinnek with his 8 and 12 string bass filling in like a Rythm Guitar and vocals. Show me a good P.T. I will show you 3 great musians.

Not many guitarists get that close to Rory's guitar sound, feel and general 'Roryness'. Dave Simpson has nailed it on both guitar and vocals. Great job !

No worries btw - They are more than welcome at Adefest 2022 - What a great event it turned out to be, and my first time organising anything like it (with help) - Dave at The Station was a star, and his mixing guy was amazing.

The Trio are simply awesome, each one brings something really special to the group thats how these 3 get away with sounding so good. Daves also one of the best rounded guitar players about, he can nail so many different styles and yet make them his own.

Best guitarist in the UK by a country mile, very few play with such feel and can actually add to anything done by Rory Gallagher. Watch Dave’s video at the music shop for some sublime acoustic playing.

Would like to see that Rory had the same play with Gerry. Would be an improvement. Although Gerry knew how to push Rory :). I do like the playing of Dave, even the singing(singing qualities of Rory gallagher are often underappreciated) sounds like the Rory. Drum sounds awesone.

Answer, you only have to punch the information into a drum machine once😅 It's an old one and I'm sure you've heard it. Keep music live, I hate performers that play to backing tracks, it's not real. @@leemoz1 the one here partied like it was 1999 every day and drank himself until he destroyed his liver even after a transplant. Being in clubs and playing music led to more drinking. I hope that you take care of yourself and not drink alcohol and live healthy.
