Truly great, down home feel, so traditional and yet modern too. The violin tone and phrasing is beautiful, every instrument is perfect, and so is the mix.

Phenomenal band and performance. The second banjo solo was really outstanding.

He takes Clarence's treatment of syncopation to the next level. I guess that's what a lifetime of immersion will do for you. Well done sir.

Couple of "One & Onlies" in this band. Mr Grier always surprising, always involving.Too good to not comment on. Love Stu-Bob's insistent "Stoney Lonesome" quote.

Agreed. I would expect nothing less coming from someone like David with his history with Clarence White and Tony Rice. I mean, he’s literally been doing this shit since he was a kid.

Great tempo and feel...love the way David uses his mid and lower range. Most versions of this tune sound like a damn typewriter. Kids, ask grandpa what that is!! 😎

David is my favorite current bluegrass guitar player, he holds the torch seamlessly with his own unique approach. His band also has the perfect dynamic. What a tasteful player!

Even the faster paced verses had a nice sort of dance cadence to it compared to the usual driving Salt Creek style. It lets the players add some character.

I think a lot of fiddle songs have great melodies that get a little lost at the super high tempos, and nobody can really creatively improvise around the melody at those paces; I think a lot of fiddle tunes in particular and bluegrass songs more generally benefit from a little pull back in tempo.

Kudos to the bassist in this group for keeping the soloists on track and in sync. It could have gotten out-of-control when the tempo picked up, but didn't. Nice job!
