Lyrics:
Dead Love couldn't go no further
Proud of and disgusted by her
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you
My life's a bit more colder
Dead wife is what I told her
Brass knife sinks into my shoulder
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do
I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee
My squeeze
The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells, miss-spells
Knocks me on my knees
It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt, stuffed shirt
Hang me on a tree
After I count down, three rounds, in hell I'll be in good company
Dead Love couldn't go no further
Proud of and disgusted by her
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you
My life's a bit more colder
Dead wife is what I told her
Brass knife sinks into my shoulder
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do
I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee
My squeeze
The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells, misspells
Knocks me on my knees
It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt, stuffed shirt
Hang me on a tree
After I count down, three rounds, in hell I'll be in good company

First time I heard this song I liked their vocals they are magical, when I sing a good one a energy from my feet straight out of my head goes through me there is a energy a magic in music. I also play guitar and if you can sing and play it's a different energy. I played rock or tryed then played with a friend who only plays country and I can hit every note playing lead against him it's magic because I never studied country but can play it perfectly. I figured out how I remember my dad only played country in his car and I can remember the notes from memory especially Hank Williams sr it's funny. Peace

Shout out to whomever did the whistling at the beginning. I had a lil dog abandoned that trapped itself under my house for a week and food was her only motivator; until this song came on! She was enticed by the whistle so I just kept playing the beginning over and over and that won her over. She is inside & getting healthy now!

It was legit April 17 when I found a dog was under my house and April 22 when I got her inside. So sorry, 6 days 😝 I tried everything, the people who abandoned her must have traumatized her. & We had bad weather in the time she was in the crawlspace, which is HUGE. She wouldn't come out other than to eat and 💩and there was no going under there to get her. I put food out 3x a day on a schedule further and further away from where she got under. After 4 days of that and slowly getting her used to me I lured her onto my front porch over the course of 2 days replacing one meal with broken milkbones tossed to her closer and closer to me. But the deciding factor of her coming near enough to catch was this intro. I can whistle but not perfect like that.. So 🔩off. Her name is Ginger and she's crazy.

what a madlad... in the music industry it's called pizzicato and it's been a way of playing for a long long time. They even do this with violins and all kinds of stringed instruments. Impressive and great sounding playingstyle nevertheless A little wikipedia citing: "The first recognised use of pizzicato in classical music is found in Tobias Hume's Captain Humes Poeticall Musicke (1607), wherein he instructs the viola da gamba player to use pizzicato ('thumpe')."

Your voice reminds me of my father... In a good way. Funny thing is, I never heard him sing. Your voice just has the same pitch and tamber his had while speaking. It threw me for a loop, and tears. He's been gone now nearly five years, and your song is pretty much his attitude. If he was going to hell like everyone kept telling him all his life, he would be in good company, so he had no worries. He didn't want to go and would fight every step of the way. Living a long life the happiest he could was the revenge he could get on all his enemies. Best advice I ever got.

My father who is 75 years old has been part of a rock/folk/blues band in Bourgogne, France for about 10 years now: he plays guitar, but there are bass, banjo, etc... They use the Marshall amp I offered to my dad 7-8 years ago to get the bass stronger otherwise it is hidden by too many guitars... I showed him this song last year when he came to visit me in South of Spain and he definitively decided to include this masterclass into their list of tracks they will play when they perform... I´m curious to listen to the outcome of their coverage of this song but they are quite talented so that should be nice. Anyway, even though I'm not fan of folk music which is their main influence, I like the 2-3 blues they play and maybe now that new song, but most important is to find such hobby with enough local musicians at 70 years old when music is one of your main passion in life! He used to be a fan of the Rolling Stones and other rock bands from 60's/70's, he's now the main guitar of his own rock band, I'm happy for him, and it's crazy but it works well, they have frequent requests for playing in different events in Bourgogne/Franche-Comté... that's fun and reassuring for his retirement

Back last year when you had folks video them doing your walk to this music....my 80 year old Ma did it, we were going to send it in, but she passed away less than 3 weeks later. She LOVED you guys and your music, she really liked it towards the end, we even played the albums over and over for her. She went to meet her maker with your music accompanying her. On a personal note, THANK YOU so much for helping her be happy her last few months, I will always be appreciative and grateful 🙏
