The part about exiling and casting the card only exist so that you can flip instants and sorceries that were cloaked. Any cloaked permanent card can be flipped. (Although flipping a cloaked battle will send it to the graveyard.)

Side note on this, you don't "play" the land exiled with etrata, you just turn the creature face-up and that's why it works

@@gabrote42 Now that I think about it, I think planewalkers are nonbos as well. PWs and battles only get their counters as they ETB, so if they just flip they have no counters and die.

I feel like there's a deckbuild with Massacre girl and Archfiend of Ifnir, massacre girl replenishes your hand while ifnir wipes your opponents board very efficiently

Is this deck good for someone who's getting in to magic? I have no prior experiences with magic but played other TCGs (Yugioh, Pokemon and LOR) and i liked the concept of this deck, seems fun, easy to understand, "fine" to pilot and hard to master, seems like a fine learning curve to me

@@washingtonevangelista5384 I recommend browsing Untapped.gg where you can look at decks by winrate and get a sense of the meta. Then you can look up some gameplay videos if you want a better idea of how those decks play out and see which playstyle you prefer.

people who play control lack any sort of creative thinking and just don't actually want to play magic. every control deck does nothing, the only point is to stop the other person from playing when in turn they do nothing themselves. it makes sense that blue, or azorious players are the most hated players right in front of mono red, and that match was the perfect example of such

Ngl this deck is kinda garbage, all I get is losses and many games here are Ls too. It's a real shame. Etrata needs more Assassin support. I've tried a few things with Outlaw mechanic but it's a bit too sparse and weak. If Double Down made non-legendary tokens there would be something there. Hopefully Etrata will see her time in the spotlight post-rotation. I'm sick of being monored-ed to death every game.
