I was a kid & my family watched Dino every week. What a charmer he was. There were several variety shows that were popular & "must see" viewing during those years. It's a shame we don't have them anymore. 💙🌿

Lainie Kazan was a guest 26 times. Great talent. And something tells me the attraction between her & Dean was genuine.

The Original Andrew Sisters. LaVerne died in 1967. This may be her last television appearance. Maxine died in 1995 and Patty died in 2013. The group disbanded in 1967 after a 30 years.

Yes sadly this was their last appearance together as a trio

When Dean started out with Martin & Lewis, Dean was the straight man and second banana. When they broke up the comedy team it was assumed that Jerry would flourish and Dean would flounder. For a while that was true as Jerry put out a number of successful movies as a single, and Dean struggled. However, decades later, Dean easily surpassed Jerry in popularity (at least in the United States) with his multiple talents.

Still the best show on television. Fast-moving, slick but spontaneous - a box of delights. Everyone looks like they are having fun. And what a guest list!

Of course, I love that handsome, talented guy with his wonderful personality (doesn't everybody?) I also enjoyed, in this video, a nostalgia trip to the 'Brought to you in living color' peacock intro from 1966, the first year that basically every television show had switched to broadcasting in color. (Even though it wasn't until about 20 years later that a lot of us got our first color TV!)

Sadly, LaVerne Andrews (far left), was suffering from cancer at the time of this broadcast and would succumb to the disease just 8 months later on May 8th, 1967….in fact, this performance on TDMS would be their last
