Mini Ladd, here's some tips. When you get green shells, don't use them. They're pointless because you like to go on the offensive when you should be focusing on defense. When you get the 3 green shells, just keep them as a shield and if you get the singular green shells, just hold them on your back. You need to focus on your defense because you only focus on offense and shooting the green shells immediately when you get them. Keep them and use them as defense. You do great when you're just driving along so you don't need to fix that.

A little advice from an experienced player, i wouldn't use the items just yet, rather use them as protection. So if you get an item like a shell and you're in first place, hold LR as they mentioned for as long as possible till you get another random item box (double would better if you get a coin first and the second would either be a shell, banana, or a bomb). I know it's frustrating but a little practice wouldn't hurt. You got potential, Mini, just practice and you'll get a hang of it (I apologize if you took it the wrong way). I'll be rooting for you Also in case of blue shells, there are actually ways to dodge it, though I'm not sure if this will work for everyone, there was a time I stopped it by throwing a bomb backwards and another was taking an alternate route that isn't the main one (though it's a 50/50 chance if successful). Or if someone is behind you could just slow down a bit and let them take the fall, as long as you're not close to them that is and hit the accelerator
