The final chapter of Revan, which ended SWTOR as well is called "Echoes of Oblivion." This expansion was released at the end of last year, as a potential middle finger to Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, which had Palpatine's return as its defining feature. However, while I do like the idea of the Emperor coming back, I personally think that SWTOR handled that plotline WAY better than Disney did.

Wow, you're too kind, this means a lot Thank You! The visualization was an idea that I had, that there were holograms telling stories (historical records) on screen. Just imagine Vader standing on the bridge, looking 'out' into space, but instead, he's watching a historical record on Revan or Bane or something. It was just for fun, but I wanted to give the Character's Explained Series a different look, so it's not like the typical Star Wars KZfaqr look of having a blurred image in the back, and then the main image wipe across the screen. (I do, do that for more conventional video's though because it's simpler) But I wanted this series to be unique. The Music and sound effects have been a new thing for me. Originally, the video's just had music playing in the background, but everything changes, and I wanted to make the video's more.. Immersive? The sound effects and the relevant music just adds something to it, I'm glad you like it! Don't worry, It's still hard for me to accept TOR after KOTOR too :) I do intend to make more content with Revan and Meetra in future, however I won't spoil it. I did think about doing theories, but they really aren't my thing, I prefer telling stories, and not just in typical lore video fashion. I want to tell these stories LIKE a story, and I intend to keep doing it! I'm humbled by your words, and I'm glad you enjoy the content. yah that mmo has nothing to do with KOTOR series, I played the story game of the Hero of Python and is boring as hell.

When you want to ruin an otherwise mysterious star wars character, the first thing you do is to give her a generic name. Then, she is no longer known for her feats, for her title, or characteristics, but only for her name.

I always figured Meetra lost her 'wound' after killing Kreia, like the two were bonded and Kreia's death broke that bond, returning Meetra to how she was during the Mando War. That said, I didn't like how it ended either. IMO, the RR novel should have ended with a grand, climactic battle which killed Meetra and Vitiate and left Revan badly wounded. Scourge would then betray Revan, killing him and then Scourge would take the throne for himself. It just seems odd to me that they'd hype Revan's power so much, his insane journey which started with the Mandalorian wars which were started by Vitiate, and NOT have Revan be the one to defeat the Sith who ate a planet and started it all. but no, they have that kill to some random Knight in SWTOR and reduced Revan to a battery and later a madman who came dangerously close to breaking universal laws established in the SW universe.

@I. Th. Then they shouldn't have built him up as being the opposite of the Emperor. The mention of how Revan's the "heart of the Force", his journey back and forth from the light and dark and being so deeply intertwined with the Emperor's plots. Even serving as his harbinger for a time. He can be the "hero" and still embody Revenge. Revan should have been the one to kill the Emperor. Even if he destroyed (whether literally or metephorically) himself in the process. Like a living incarnation of the "bring 2 shovels when gettting revenge" saying.

If only Disney weren't just using Star Wars as a content less money gain operation, they could make kotor 1 and 2 canon commission a better ending for Revan, in fact, you could just continue the story from there, he's been made whole again and the Emperor still isn't defeated, he could have plenty of adventures with force ghost Meetra and HK-47

No matter how we love him and have played him in many alternate endings, he did genuinely horrible stuff and just cannot go an easy way out, it's the sacrifice he has to make to return to the force.

What specifically do most not like about the old republic revan? i just replayed kotor and got refreshed on everything in them i happen to like the mealstrom prison part becuase only revan could affect the emperor for that long. the shadow of revan expansion i enjoyed though it been a while since i played that chapter

Yeah I hope the KotOR movie leaves out the Sith species entirely. Just come up with something new after KotOR II.

Yes, I would also say that there could have been a more epic story than that. Two of the greatest characters written and in terms of power defeated by a Lord solely created to be stronger than any Sith since. But Meetra always stands in the shadow of the great Revan in those tellings and I'm grateful you are one to acknowledge this. And yes, still referring to the exile as female. Because I love the idea of a strong female lead. She has been a role model for me as Carrie Fisher has been to many young girls. Of course look at the exile in whatever way you want but my point stands :P

It mirrors Revan, I like that Revan is Male and Meetra is Female. This story was in essence, simply devised as a means to set up the MMO. Lazy story telling at its finest. If you're writing something, just for the sake of ensuring continuity with something else, there's no creativity, there's limits, there's a lack of passion and this story suffers from exactly those things.

Except they did. Revan is such an influential character in Star Wars lore. It would be weird if every time they mentioned Revan they couldn’t tell you what his gender was or what he did after Kotor. Play KoTOR however you want, but you can’t get mad that your idea of Revan isn’t the canon one.
