I read the title of the video and my first reaction was "Superman died again?". Then I actually watch it and am like "OH they are talking about the first time." WHT did they have to waste my time? To be fair though on the thumbnail it did look like it was doomsday standing over him. I just wasn't sure.

Horrible points the whole thing got people collecting again, made new fans which lead to comic book renaissance in 90's for all comic book companies. Sure in the end the bubble on the value of these books fell, but it made a lot of money for the industry and introduced a new generation to Comics.

The only reason the did they whole thing with killing Supes off was a slumping comic book market people were leaving it behind for other medium's the Death of Superman being covered in the news was a small shot in the arm that was needed to get people back in the stores and book stands to buy some comics.
