An additional Rant about why the Marvel Cinematic Universe is rapidly declining in its Phase 4, this video is dedicated to discussing the forced woke ideology and desecration of quality writing given to Marvel's female characters to push political agendas especially in the wake of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and the reveal of Thor Love and Thunder.

Something else that really frustrates me about the Black Widow movie is that in Age of Ultron, Natasha opens up to Banner about being very traumatized over the forced hysterectomy the Red Room gives her. In fact, if I remember correctly she uses that experience to relate to Banner over feeling like "a monster". And then the Black Widow movie makes a joke out of those forced hysterectomies to insult Red Guardian

Amazingly enough, all you have to do to make a good strong female character is: 1. Make a character 2. Make that character a woman You see, many people (people being the mcu writers) forget step one, and just do step two, forgetting that in order to write a strong female character, you still need the strong and character parts.

And there may be a reason for that - a self-insert is by definition a reflection of yourself however accurate. Which means you have to treat your self-insert character like a real person, because you are real. Maybe these writer should try some oc self-insert fanfic before they write women in stuff?

If you're somebody who's trying to claim that that f*cking waste of time "Eternals" movie was a better film than ZSJL... you've now become a hopeless case, devoid of all logic & reason, ffs. ZSJL was leaps & bounds above something like The Eternals, and mostly because it didn't have any "agendas" other than giving us an awesome story, told in EPIC fashion, and better still... RESPECTED THE CHARACTERS, and treated them like the living gods that they are. It's time for the MCU fanbase to wake the f*ck up, and start getting honest w/themselves, before these Marvel movies get any worse. God help us... Amazon Prime's "The Boys" handles female characters very well compared to the MCU, because unlike in the MCU, The Boys' female characters actually have flaws like everyone else. *Season 2 spoilers* Not to mention, the "female empowerment" scene in the Season 2 finale feels WAY cooler than the one in Endgame because it actually makes sense. By that point in the story, none of the male Supes were really on the team's side so having Starlight, Maeve, and Kimiko team up actually made an impact on the story.

As a woman I am sick and tired of this type of pandering. If they want to make strong female characters there needs to be a level of writing talent behind it. You can’t just genderbenf characters in an iconic movie like Ghostbusters and assume audiences are going to love it. Maybe ghostbusters 2016 would’ve been a better movie if there was actual writing talent to make it a Ghostbusters the next generation where the all-female cast were the daughters of the original Ghostbusters. Not to mention if you have to make all the guys in the movie completely incompetent or rude assholes so your female character looks better by default in comparison that’s weak. If you need all the side characters to say dumb shit like “wow she’s so cool, she’s so strong, she’s so powerful, she’s so smart“ to tell the audience how they’re supposed to feel about sad female character when she has done nothing to navigate through the story to earn that type of praise from the audience, that’s being lazy. I’m also sick of this notion that making your female character relatable and have moments of weakness and doubt is synonymous with sexualization. it’s the straight soy boys and the bitter straight feminist that can’t get touched by a man that over hyper sexualized things that aren’t sexual. Integra Hellsing, Saya Otonashi (Blood+), Lara Croft 2013, Alice Liddell, Bayonetta, Emily Kaldwin, Billie Lurk, Tiny Tina, and the list goes on. There are so many amazing female characters that are well written and actually go through character development. They don’t back down from challenges when faced with obstacles that seem impossible for them to overcome. Not to mention characters like Lara and Saya that own up to their mistakes and take accountability for their wrongdoings. Something you definitely do not see with modern “strong female characters“ when they do something wrong they just pull a sad face and the, commonly male character, looks like an asshole for scolding them when she did something wrong. Which is so irritating. “Strong female character” does something wrong/fucks up in a major way, “toxic asshole man” scold her for royally fucking up/acting like a C U Next Tuesday, and “strong female character” just looks sad for the camera so the audience can feel bad for her and hate the man that scolded her.

Yes thank you for pointing out how dislikable Valkerie was. Also, I was so annoyed at how Thor went through this whole character arc from the arrogant irresponsible prince to becoming worthy of Mjolnir and being a responsible hero, and then he JUST ABDANDONS HIS KINGDOM JUST WHEN IT'S MOST VULNERABLE (a quarter of the population remaining and now stranded on earth) for his own self-centered reasons and somehow he's still worthy of the new Mjolnir? His battle axe thing? That is undoing all the progress he made. And handing the kingdom over to Valkerie??? Who isn't even an Asgardian??? Are you kidding me??? I was so mad they did that.

9:03 Valkyrie isn't overpowered, technically Thor manages to outwit her by stealing the control disc which was also used by grandmaster to not lose the bet on his champion. And even Thor could defeat Loki in hand to hand when he's not being tricked, so Valkyrie would probably be on the level of Thor without lightning. Also Valkyrie uses the same attack moves that thor used on Hulk, considering they're both asgardian warriors and Hulk is an untrained strong character, it makes sense. And Thor manages to convince her to join the 'revengers'. Black widow was just a bad movie tho the writer was also on captain Marvel and Wanda vision. I don't think iron man 3 was woke cuz technically Tony overcame his strongest villain, PTSD although temporarily.

The Stormbreaker doesn't need anyone to be worthy to be able to use it's power since there is no spell bound to it, unlike Mjolnir which has Odin's spell stating that only the worthy living individuals can harness it's strength. But Thor is still worthy because even though he went on a depressive state or abandoned New Asgard, he never became evil or went back to being arrogant. Also, he left New Asgard to follow what his mom told him when he time travelled in Endgame, to find what he truly wanted, to move on and be his real self.

My thoughts on strong female characters is that good character development and proper writing makes them great, like Pepper Potts, Peggy Carter, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch (Phase 2-3), etc. However, when they force things in a Mary Sue type of way and shove them down our throats, ie Captain Marvel, Valkyrie, it hurts the story.

I actually like Thor Ragnarok, but a big part of why Valkyrie didn't detract from my initial experience was that I foolishly believed she would have an actual character arc in future movies. Ragnarok is not a movie that takes itself seriously, and the basic foundation of Valkyrie is sound. She is talented and experienced, but also deeply flawed, personally broken and aimless. She is set up to be in need of redemption, and Thor, given his own arc in the MCU up to that point, is a natural fit for her mentor. But that never happens. She's absent from Thanos's attack in Infinity War because the plot needs to happen, and the next time we see her is Endgame, when Thor completely disregards his entire MCU plot arc of becoming a better leader, hands the keys to Valkyrie simply because he can, and decides to follow his dream of being a space bum. So now we're staring down the barrel of Love And Thunder, when Thor whips himself back into shape to...pass the torch again. Here's a quick question, why do two different a "strong female characters" both need Thor to anoint them, if they're already so great that they have nothing to learn and no need to grow? This is what the MCU has been reduced to, established characters are valued only as tools to prop up new walking billboards whose writers already know they are incapable of standing on their own.

The eye-rolling moment featured from, 'Endgame', (where all the wahmen are lined up as though they're the, 'secret weapon', everyone had been waiting for), was literally the end of the franchise for me. The main problem is, that they're trying desperately to portray these female characters as an, 'upgrade', to the male versions, instead of allowing them to be their own individual selves, with their own individual idiosyncrasies. It's all superficial, identity politics driven trash. That tried to show that, 'wahmen', are not only as good as men, but better. Like it's some kind of competition, when it really shouldn't have to be. There's room for all the female characters to do their thing; but as is generally the case with those with a petulant streak to them, it's not good enough that they succeed, but that who they see as the, 'opposition', (who aren't the opposition), need to fail in order to highlight their inflated sense of superiority. As is always the case with any ideologues, once you scratch the surface, they are everything they claim to be against. Fighting supposed sexism with actual sexism, supposed racism with actual racism, etc. But because they see themselves as the, 'oppressed underdog', they're somehow allowed to do it with impunity. Anyone who dares to point out the hypocrisy is shouted down as the usual, 'ist', and, 'phobe', we've become accustomed to, due to having no actual argument against it.

I rolled my eyes so hard when I witnessed the “female empowerment” moment in Endgame. It was so forced and logistically didn’t make any sense. How in the world with everything happening on a fkn battle field did all those girls know to join up at the exact same time, even though some have never even met each other! It was so stupid. So cringe. In my opinion, Endgame is one of the most overrated movies, not only from Disney/MCU but ever. It’s really not that good and there’s so many plot holes that get over looked and don’t make sense. Infinity War is the best movie they’ve done. I can pick holes in that movie as well, only I try not to because I like it so much. But seriously, when they had Thanos tied up and we’re trying to get the gauntlet off his hand, why didn’t they just cut off his arm? OR HIS HEAD? Oh, that’s right… cause the movie would be over 😒

The one thing that upsets me is the decline in good character writing and the need for damage control. All the MCU titles (with some exceptions) did have some good moments from the characters because there were moments when the characters were allowed to reflect on their flaws and grow from their own mistakes. Tony Stark realized the consequences of his creations hurting billions of people, so he decided to shut them all down and become the hero to protect his loved ones from his own creations and mistakes. Steve Rogers realizing that the government he served also have their own malicious intentions and corruption, hense why he decided to rebel because he believed in doing the right thing rather than following orders blindly without question. Thor starting off as a proud and egotistical warrior to becoming a humble and responsible man that decides to use his powers to protect and save people rather than seeking the thrill of battle and rulling while sitting on top of a throne. Black Widow seeking redemption for all the dark tasks and assassinations she has performed as a covert killer over the years by becoming a hero and protecting the family she has grown attached to as the years went on. Bruce Banner accepting who he is and slowly learning to balance both sides of himself, being both the scientist and the green goliath Hulk. Hawkeye, as far as i know, is the only one that stays consistent over the years because his family is his motivation to be an Avenger, and when they disappeared, he went on a dark path that resulted his loss of hope and resorting to lashing out, killing scores of bad people as Ronin because they were the one spared while his family were the ones taken from him by The Snap. All of these characters go through conflict and growth, hense why we as viewers were allowed to invest our time with them. As for these other characters, we barely have any investment to feel anything for them. Captain Marvel only has 2 movies to her name, and that's barely enough of an investment to show any concern because she's already OP with her cosmic powers, yet we're still obligated to give a shit because strong female character. Wanda starting out with a good backstory, believable trauma, and closure for the loss of her twin brother and love interest... all of that investment squandered because she's willing to break the ENTIRE Multiverse to move over to a reality where she has children, instead of finding peace with her losses and seeking comfort from her fellow Avengers. Hell, Clint Barton still had an investment with Wanda because her brother Pietro/Quicksilver sacrificed himself to save him, thus resulting in Clint looking after her as a life debt. I can't stress enough that the only other female character that is more relatable is Jessica Jones; a Private Investigator who doesn't see herself as a hero because of what she has done under Kilgrave's influence and control. You can image the many people she killed and bad deeds she has done under his control, and she carries that with her even after killing him. She doesn't glorify what she does with her powers and she knows damn well that she is poison to anyone she's with, hense why she avoids attachments for anyone, with the exception of her sister, but even that didn't work out well after Season 3. Despite all of that, she still tries to do some good with hope that it can make up for the bad she has done onto others, even though it can at times be meaningless, yet she still does because of the job she's committed to. Her persistence of doing good and devotion to her job makes her at times far relatable and memorable than any of the other female characters.

Marvel just wanted a ‘Wanda goes evil because of her children’ storyline, and undid all of her great character development and arc she had from WandaVision via an evil magic book between appearances. Taking away her agency by having dark magic corrupt her, and turn her from a very human empathetic character that people who are grieving can relate to, into a cliché villain was a really bad decision. The end of WandaVision was the perfect point for Wanda to redeem herself like many other characters.

The timing of this video is pretty well considering Multiverse of Madness came out at around the same time. Doctor Strange used to be one of my favourite MCU characters that was in my top 10 but after MoM he really isn’t anymore. I liked him because he was very wise, ambitious, determined, clever, and a bit mysterious but still with a nice sarcastic charm that keeps him down to earth. The most intriguing thing about him was his ambition and where it could take him especially in power which could be either good or bad hence why he was deemed “the greatest threat to the multiverse.” I found it intriguing because I’m a firm believer in the “talent without training is nothing” sentiment. Doctor Strange wasn’t born with immense power like the Wanda but through his training and experience he earned his magical powers. But then MoM completely threw everything I said out the window. He’s sidelined in his own movie by making him very weak, stupid, and lame. All that talk about being too ambitious means nothing as he looks like an everyday sorcerer in this movie compared to how he was in infinity war when he took on a 4 stone Thanos with only his magic. You would think that Strange with his wisdom, knowledge, and experience should be able to use his eldritch magic to contend with Wanda’s power but no he just delivers stupid one liners and runs away from Wanda for most of the movie despite being more experienced and knowledgeable than Wanda and also wielding eldritch magic capable of bending reality and annihilating the cosmos if you were to go so far like Strange Supreme did in Whatif. Also Strange’s magic looks lame in this movie compared to Wanda’s since all we have are musical notes, making people hit each other and summoning some dumb looking monsters that I probably butchered with a chainsaw in Doom. Compare that with the unique visuals and action that Scott Derrickson brought in Doctor Strange, Bryan Andrews in Whatif, and the Russos in Infinity War. Raimi’s Strange is a literal farcry compared to these iterations of strange where, other than his origin movie, he was in supporting roles. Strange was shafted in his own movie in favour of this Mary Sue iteration of Wanda that just Deus ex Machinas her way out of every situation she’s in. So much for “greatest threat to the multiverse.” Strange deserved better.

(but i really do love the sorcerer magic and the cgi for it is amazing). it's hard to face them with challenges because they can just do whatever spell they want to solve it. plus they can use spells that they learned previously to solve future conflicts. when fighting the octopus monster at the start of the movie i wondered why strange didn't just take it to the mirror dimension.

@@davidmaddox4455 endgame is a perfect example. Spiderman gets saved by marvel. Then all the female avengers line up in a straight line heading towards the enemy. Tf. Where is everyone else at. This scene exists only for the political agenda of gotta have that women empowerment scene. They don't need this scene because marvel and wanda already solo duked with thanos and it was pretty badasa. Pepper was flying around whooping ass. That scene was unessecary. If you call that misogynistic then so be it but there's a difference between writing good female characters with badass moments and writing scenes just for female empowerment. What sucks for me is that I am more interested in comics, and know how differently they are actually portrayed. Captain Marvel is actually noble, humble, and respectable in the comics and not a cocky feminist, who know she also has limits (for example she knows she can't beat Hulk in a physical fight so instead she tried to make it knock out or fall asleep).

Immediate subscribe.! Great video and spot on points.! I’m really conflicted because I was a HUGE Marcel Comics fan when I was a kid.. posters and comics all over my walls.! Was so happy watching the early MCU with my two sons, passing on the passion for these great characters.. little by little I started to feel the crap message that they started forcing down our throats and while I kept giving the MCU the benefit of the doubt, they make it nearly impossible the last couple years. I love the Moon Knight character and was really disappointed with the series. Also Dr. Strange.. could have been amazing, but it felt like more messaging. I wish I was in charge.. would set it straight right away.!!!

Politics has always been in films. Thats nothing new. But previously the big budget films have tackled political issues head on, making it the whole center of the film, yet in such a way that you don't realise it until after the film. If you are sat in a film, and see a scene that makes you go "well that's just a political statement" then the writers have failed. Jurassic Park was made when genetic modifications and "playing God" was a major political issue. The Matrix was made when the internet and communication age was just starting, and it predicted a dystopia where we were online 24/7. James Bond has consistently delivered political messages, from "Blood diamonds are evil" to "Water scarcity is the next big thing" and even the latest film brings into question the ethics behind governments developing weapons that can kill millions. A good film makes you question your politics AFTER the film. It should be subtle and built into the plot. But the writers we have now are so fucking stupid, they wouldn't know a good story if it bit them in the face. As the Drinker said, Disney outsource the writing to the interns fresh from indoctrination college who graduate thinking they can solve inequality by having a black women beat a white guy in a game of fistycuffs on a film set. I want to be politically challenged by films. I want deep and insightful films that bring into question the way I live my life. I want to be moved. But that aint going to happen in a superhero film. I watch a super hero film to see superhero's fight super villains. Civil War was a great fucking film because I got to see super heros fight super heros, with their strengths and weaknesses played out against equal opponents. Infinity war was a good film because I got to see superhero's get their ass kicked by a much superior villain. Captain Marvel was a shit film because the fighting was one dimensional, timid and lame. It was boring to watch and not the fantastic action film I was expecting from the MCU. Young film students and graduates. If you want to make a film that challenges the patriarchy and tells the story of a women who overcame the odds to become a great individual, PLEASE MAKE IT! I will watch the shit out of it. You have an all female military unit in Syria that is fighting ISIS. You have female pilots in WW2 that were belittled by the male pilots, but earnt their respect through action. You have individuals like Malala Yousafzai who campaigned for women's rights in Pakistan, or even Anna Politkovskaya who was murdered by the Russian government (who better to make a film about now) for reporting on the war in Chechnya. Make those films and I will watch the shit out of them, and I will leave the cinema in tears because they are emotional moving stories about real life female hero's who fought oppression, authoritarianism and the patriarchy head on. But if you make a mary sue superhero that stops mid fight to give a lecture on feminism, I will leave and never watch another film you make.

i watch superhero movies not for politics. i like seeing action and great character arcs. seeing some of my favourite mcu male heroes get belittled by these "strong female characters" who prove their strength by insulting the male characters is not fun to watch. it's also sad to see what has become of the female characters that marvel make. i wanted a black widow movie that centred around nat and clint in budapest. in dr strange 2 i loved the idea of the scarlet witch as this destined villain but when i watched the movie i feel a lot more depth could have been added to her and the lore. throughout the movie i wondered why she couldn't just go to a universe with vision and her 2 kids by asking dr strange and america chavez. i'm sure they would have been happy to help. wanda's reason for needing america's power is that if her kids get sick then she needed her power to go to other universes to get cures. but after the movie i thought that she could just go to a universe with vision, her kids *and* cures for every disease there. after all, the multiverse has infinite universes with infinite possibilities. problem solved. and i really dislike it that no male hero can defeat a female villain. this just robs the audience of some epic fight scenes. i wanted to see thor vs hela. i wanted a final battle between dr strange and wanda. female villains, just like male villains, should be punished. their backstories or why they are villains should be shown to the audience so we understand their actions, not to excuse them of their crimes. to me, treating a female villain just like a male villain is giving the character more respect than just sympathizing them so much that their villainy boils down to "they were just misunderstood". giving female villains the sympathy treatment is like the writers don't have enough faith in the female villain and it's like the character is being babied or infantilized, like the writers think that they can't handle punishment.

Hollywood is out of touch. They look down on and spit on the working class. Normal, working people watch there ham fisted attempts at social commentary and don't relate to it. The Winter Soldier is an example of smart social commentary, asking the question on government over reach & surveillance when it comes to stopping potential threats. How much of our liberty are we willing to sacrifice. Anyone can relate to these questions. An opposite example of this is the Falcon Series, which looks at the greatest human disaster in the MCU, The Blip, and literally craps all over it. We're suppose to be sympathetic to murderous terrorists even the protagonist was sympathetic for some reason, resent those were snapped out of existence & were snapped back through no fault of there own, Falcon had no answers to the conundrum the politicians faced yet criticized them etc. etc.

This shit is fan fiction at best and with political agendas being pushed in replacement of actual characters and stories. I mean look what they did to my man Falcon, it's effing sad. It wasn't until 2016 til now, 2019 was the height of the super strong female/bland characters, is when I'd started to see this over validation for the "strong-female" characters, instead of letting them be characters and having likeable characteristics and some weaknesses to go with it. Maybe give them some traumas, tragedies, and flaws. But sadly, we've just gotten agenda, over validation of the mere existence of said female, and because of making them borderline Mary Sue, makes moviegoers not invest them in them anymore.

I don't think it's coincidence that the movies literally became shit after he passed away, Stan Lee's whole idea for his superheroes, was that they were just people with human problems, that they would have to overcome to become true heroes. Now they're are just superpeople who are perfect in every way and never make any mistakes, and if they do it's because of their sad backstory, so it's tragic. Honestly what the fuck?

I would argue the point with Peggy. I believe if I recall; Steve was pulled into that kiss by the other woman and Peggy walked in at the wrong moment for him to have time to fight her off in refusal. I could be wrong. However: the act of her drawing her gun against him behind an admittedly at the time prototype shield - that neither of them knew for certain would in fact protect him from ballistics at all - was an example properly of toxic femininity. A point in the direction that you're arguing has made you quite the MCU in the first place (and I would agree.) She actively threatened his physical person, and very likely his life. Because she was jealous. But we see that as 'empowering.' Flip the script. Have it be Peggy to kiss some other male - and you know she wouldn't care and/or in some cases would seek to do it specifically WHILE Steve was watching. To make him jealous or to be vindictive in revenge - if he responds by pushing her against the wall to grip her throat in a dominant fashion, and reminds "you're my girl." He's an asshole. Even if that's the response she was subconsciously seeking for her own reassurance. If he knocks the new guy out, despite that being what she might actually want, she can fling every and any curse at him, and be completely justified. People will side with her. Who would have at that point, in that event been just as much the cad as Steve was implied in this case. That is the point I have a problem with. The rest of the romance was done well enough, but that particular point (especially because it might not have even been his fault; and Steve was still newly emerging into his confidence with no real clue about relationships) was jarring. On an extreme level.

Thank you! I`ve never understood why people are okay with that scene. Peggy could have gotten Steve, or someone else, killed, all because she was jealous, but it is completely ignored in favor of her being "feisty" and more appealing to both Steve and the audience. And no one talks about it! Or at least I have not seen anyone bring this up. Like you said, if the roles had been reversed, Steve would`ve been seen as an asshole and Peggy would be seen as completly justified in any action she took against him. While the rest of the relationship works well enough, that particular scene has always bothered me and I don`t understand why I see no one else bring it up.

The only issue I have with this sort of discourse though is that if we take out the SJW shit, it won't magically make these movies better. It would still be the same poor quality of writing. I had recently watched Underworld the other day, and the story is just a boring mess with a Matrix coat of paint (not to dissimilar to the sort of stories we're getting from the MCU nowadays and the sort of stories we got from the DCEU in general). Compared to something like the story of Vampire - The Masquerade: Bloodlines, Underworld was just incredibly disappointing. Granted, video games can afford to be more flexible in their storytelling, so that might be a bit of an unfair comparison. To provide a counter-example: the recent Batman film was pretty decent (after having watched The Long Halloween, I can see a lot of the inspirations from it in that film), but it for sure had its fair share of social politics wedged in there as well. I personally didn't take issue with it because the story is set in fucking Gotham. Like, that's the sort of setting where you can get away with that sort of storytelling since Gotham is just a corrupt shit hole.

One of the most common accusations made against genre movies, or in fact any movie that isn't either an arthouse favorite or Oscar bait, is that they're “style over substance.” What critics mean when they use this expression is that the movie prioritizes its visuals over a perceived depth; films that prefer to dazzle.

Yeah, I haven't mentioned this before but Valkyrie is another big reason why Thor Ragnarok absolutely blows. I love Lady Sif. In the first Thor movie I became more invested in seeing her and Thor get together in 1 or 2 scenes than in 2 whole movies with Jane Foster. I never sat down and watched all of Agents of Shield but Sif was in two episodes of the show and I did watch those just because of the character. I have heard that she might be in Love and Thunder and I fear what they are going to do with her. If Black Widow had been made in phase 1 or 2 it would have been incredible. I have said that I do like the Black Widow movie that we got and I make no apologies for it, but I won't try and claim that it is actually good. I am there to see Scarlet Johannson as Natasha and the action. Wow, I didn't know that it was written in 11 days. Explains some things. Some of favorite female characters. 1. Ashley Williams-Mass Effect 2. Jill Valentine-Resident Evil 3. Lightning-Final Fantasy 4. Black Widow 5. Leliana-Dragon Age

@@ridensroom6957 Morrigan is fine, just not one of my favorites. I used to go down the romance path with her but I have really grown to love Leliana and just always go with her. Morrigan is an interesting character. Her relationship with her mother is...well it is something to say the least. I like how you can break down her walls and not be forced into a romance with her like you could in a Mass Effect game. You can just be a friend to her and I like that. Leliana on the other hand is interesting in a different way. She started out on a dark path before being betrayed by the person she cared for most and left to rot in a dungeon. What I really like about Leliana is that she is trying to be a better person after that. She finds sanctuary and a new calling to do good. And when she has her crisis of faith you can reassure her that she is a good person and nothing like Marjolaine. I lover her story and her devotion to my Warden. I was happy that she came back in Inquisition. I especially love how if she becomes Divine she changes the Chantry's traditions to allow for her and the Warden to still be together. There is nothing wrong with Morrigan, I just like Leliana more.

Dont even get me started on the admonition that is Jane foster Thor.... Wanda in MoM is another example. Everything about her doesn't make sense. Her overall growth. I guess she forgot about the other white vision or original one. Completely erase the dad figure... End game big three couldn't fight Thanos but yet wanda and cptn Marvel can....ffs Peter Parker uncle Ben role swapped with aunt may...not the worst idea only because may actrss is hot but another example of change... Please read a basic comic or do research. Columbia owns Hulk's film rights. Thor has yet to think of himself as anything other than a weapon. Jane Foster as Thor is LITERALLY from the comics. Wanda was being possessed by the dark hold at the end of wandavision; and that show was about her getting over Vision, not her children. What were you even watching? None of the big three are powered by infinity stones, both of the characters you named have direct connections to them. Aunt May says "great power" line in more than one comic. Tom being "outshined" 100% your opinion considering her entire role was about making him love himself and want something other than Asgard throne.

@@ardencharles-fredrick6051 furthermore I'll entertain myself.... The rights to hulk is just for solo movie only. Everything they've done with him has been complete shit to the character. Wanda vision and mom is connected like a sequel. They confirm this. Also it's kinda big ass plot hole that she did it for her kids and vision but now it's just about her kids. Clearly wasn't a Dr strange movie. My point ☝️ Also you got the nerve to try to say that cptn Marvel and Wanda is more powerful than Thor? My whole basis of big three vs Thanos is that it's absurd just saying it. You prove nothing but state obvious but useless facts that doesn't dispute what I originally said. Also I didn't hate Loki show. I loved it but fact still remains it was more about Sylvia than Loki himself. Even if ones a variant of the other but they make it clear they're man and woman. Just another sign of times changing in MCU when shit writers and feminist get in control of script writing.

I am glad someone else has realized this and said it, this goes for alot of different groups represented in hollywood media, I feel people are either told to write a character that is so and so, or they want everyone to congratulate them on making this minority character because I swear gay characters or trans or whatever are always done like shit superboy in the comics right now is prefect example or how miles moralas used to be, you can tell when someone who relates to the character is writing or someone looking in from the outside. I mean the difference between miles morlas in spiderverse in comparison to something like spiderman ps4 where is has no personality to him and essentially just peter 2. Self insert characters are higher than they have ever been and with that comes horrible self fantasy type writing.

Imo, the best 2 action heroines in cinema are Ripley in Alien and Aliens, and Sarah Connor, from T1 to T2. I believe the reason they work is because their feminine features are core parts of their characters. They are extremely maternal, protecting Newt and John respectively with all their strength. Rather than trying to force female characters into masculine roles, the writers just amplified their feminine, maternal features. The problem is that modern Hollywood doesn’t do this, it just tries to force female characters into masculine roles for the sake of looking progressive.
