When it came to Black artists from 1983 to 1987 (The Deele's prime) all the Grammys and AMA's saw was Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Diana Ross, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, and Chaka Khan. That sucks because it was some SERIOUS Black talent in music in the 1980s.

Walked down the aisle with LA Reid in his cousin's wedding when this song came out. Had NO CLUE of who he was!! He was very humble!! Was at the reception and everyone kept talking about 'some guy' named LA. Finally, out of frustration, I said, "Who in the heck is LA?!!" Everyone got quiet and were shocked. "The guy over there you walked down the aisle with. He's with The Deele. You know... Two Occasions?!" WOW. I went to speak with him and congratulate him. He was very low key and cool!! We had a really nice conversation.

I was a DJ on a popular sound system in Jamaica during 80's - 90's when it was all vinyl records played on huge speaker quad boxes this was the best era and when you want to " bust " di dance and pull everyone from outside into the party / dance just start playing soul music which we played for over an hr where every man and woman locked in tight embrace slow grooving as opposed to now if you every play soul music you they say you're " killing the vibe aka mashing up the dance ".. This song could never stopped playing over and over the Deele was a big deal this song is timeless i was 21 when this was released now 37 yrs later I'm 57 and this sounds brand new nevertheless spanning generations . He wrote some beautiful songs for them including "Just My Luck", "Seeet November " and he co-wrote my 2nd favorite after this by them,"I'll Send You Roses ".

I was so young when this song dropped. I am 49, and it's still as powerful as it was back in 1987 ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

This song just popped into my head. I can feel my grandmother's love in it. She played this kind of music when I was young. I was having a dream about her and I heard this song. I woke up and played it . I miss her . Now the world is no longer complete. I can hear her love and presence in these songs. ❤😢. Today's music can't compare. 😢

Reminds me of my BEST Girlfriend EVER!! This was our song back in 1987 to 1990. I miss her dearly and wish we stayed together. I'm 60 now and not happy like I was before. She really, really made me happy. I guess that's life. 😢

Baby was the Prince of the 90's. As far as writing for so many ppl and being a true genius with his own voice and catalog. He gave back to others with his skill. Glad I was a teen at this time. Make out music of the 90's will never have an opponent.
