Last year I bumped into someone I first met over 47 years ago. We live in different countries so for us to meet in the same remote Andean town at the same time is incredible. We never professed our love for each when we knew each other as teenagers. I didn't say anything because I thought it would be cruel to say "I love you" and end the relationship. I always thought he didn't say anything because he was shy. We've kept in touch for the last year. A couple of weeks ago, he told me he didn't say anything to me as a teenager because his mother read his diary and discovered that he was in love with me. His mother gave him a stern warning. She reminded him I was a gringa (a foreign girl) and a close family relative so he was never to pursue me. He obeyed his mother and loved me in silence for many years. I forgot about him and just wished the best of life for him. So you can imagine my mixed emotions when we reconnected last year. We got together a couple of times but then we realized we didn't really mesh together as a couple. We are also in committed relationships so it's not easy to quit them and take a gamble on a new one, especially at our age.

And Rory Martin, did we really see the same movie? In this wonderful movie it is more She, not He, that makes the decisions. A good thing. What a great movie this was! The best American since Moonlight, Greta Lee playing the best female role since Jessica Chastain in The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby. She didn't get a Oscar nomination either so we know for sure they did their jobs really, really fine. I really hope to see her more in Dutch cinemas.

Forget Christianity for a moment and focus more on the Christ Consciousness which at its core is Divine Love that we should identify in All Creation, in all people...and this is present throughout all Light based spiritual teachings including Buddhist principles... Love! We are all both masculine and feminine and should embrace both energies without 'competing' with which does what. The source of our 'separation' as genders, racially, culturally, as a species lies in the inability to see that we are One.
