The logistics of trying to figure our who is eligible for reparations and who is not is would be overwhelming if not impossible (just because a person is Black doesn’t mean they’re descendants of slaves in this country). Anything coming out of tax dollars would be coming out of OUR tax dollars as well. We would be paying for our own reparations. What land do you propose should be given by whom and to whom? Last but certainly not least, the idea of taking money from people who were never slave owners and giving it to people who were never slaves is the most ridiculous and racist idea I’ve ever heard of! No one with an ounce of common sense would go along with this unless they were just trying to get something for nothing. I was never a slave therefore nobody owes me anything. Maybe you should learn a little bit about who hid runaway slaves in their homes on the Underground Railroad. Maybe you should learn about who the people were who were the last leg of the journey to Canada and freedom (Hint: They were not Black). Whatever debt Black people think they are owed today as far as I’m concerned, was already paid by all those White people back then, who risked everything, including their lives, to help my ancestors get to freedom.
