Great video Robert! I know you most recent video are solo trapping, but it was really good seeing your wife and uncle Glenn as well as the kids out on the line with you. Just like when you were a kid and trapping with gramma and grampa.

Sorry such a big long comment. I liked the video's & i realize it is traditional & sentimental for you,there were your grandfather & you once trapped together. As trappers we always look for better production as we go,so i know you wont be offended,because it is obvious trapping is in your blood Robert. Im pretty sure you are not making the best use of the trapping supplies you are using & have access to. The snares shoukd really be used above water or say ice where its easy to see & know whats going on. So snare the lynx & Wolverines with them,the snares are much easier to hide & harder for them to see. So easier & faster for you in those brutal cold conditions. The 330 conibears are much better for your style of under ice beaver bait sets & if done correctly, produce with few misses. Probably a little less work too if you prep the bait & trigger wires in advance in the warmth of the cabin,maybe even pre bait the 330's. 2 anchor poles through the springs & either carrots,ear corn or poplar bait sticks pre drilled to fit the tigger wires. You can make trigger wires longer. Bend the trigger wires so the last 1/2" or more has a 90° angle in it. You can then insert them in either of the opposite ends or sides of the bait. I like the sides. Then a light wire or string around the bait & trigger wire to keep it inserted in the bait firmly. Now when the beaver chews ,your not waiting for a unseen & uncontrolable entanglement that the beaver is in charge of. Now its a direct blast aimed well,with very little chewing needed.
