The problem is he does nothing for the normal person. No ordinary person could afford his watch and he only makes a few just for the elites;)

I don't think it's an issue of affordability. Rather, it is that this discussion is very technical. It's for a very specialized audience, hence a smaller one.

He speaks in great detail about the reduced amount of sliding friction during impulse but doesn't at all bring into consideration the sliding friction during locking and unlocking...I'd like to ask him about this!

The Rolex he's wearing (Explorer 1) has a completely re-designed movement incorporating his and his Master's (George Daniels) Co-axial Escapement. The accuracy and sheer genius of which is something ordinary Rolex watch wearers can only dream of.
