The Devil's Bridge - RONDA
Devil's Bridge, Arroyo del Cupil, Hondón (Ronda)
We are in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, Municipal End of Ronda.
Linear route that in principle should start from the old Venta el Hondón, being impossible due to the impossibility of crossing the River and the large amount of brambles and vegetation, I made the decision to do it in the opposite direction, starting from the Ruins of Cortijo del Cupil Below, in a few meters we find the Impressive Devil's Bridge, the Bridge has a semicircular arch from medieval times with a hilled road (6 m. long and 3.30 wide). which receives its name from the French ("Pont du Diable" due to the numerous deaths that the guerrillas caused on the bridge and in the Hondón gorge during the occupation of Ronda in the War of Independence)
The vegetation is a gallery forest formed by oaks, brakes and gall oaks.
A pleasant walk in which you will have to go through several gates and which I end at the end of a fence seeing the Venta del Hondón just to the right
