What's up guys! This video is our biggest trip yet. We take on the Devils River in a 4 day kayaking adventure. We are also doing something different on this trip, fishing! We caught a ton of fish on this trip, and we highlighted the best ones!
This trip did not take it easy on us however, the Devils River took us on some twists and turns, and did not let up one bit on us. We hope you enjoy this video!

Wonderful video my man! Y’all caught some lunkers and battled through the wind. I love seeing more kayak camping in our beautiful state. Keep it up brother!

In 1977 from San Diego to the Rio Grande Valley, we took a quick break to cool off in this beautiful isolated river. It was well worth the effort.

I did the trip with my brother when it rained for 5 days and there was a massive amount of additional water coming down and we still enjoyed it very much, even though I lost about $1000 in gear because of the extreme water conditions😂 just like it’s called fishing instead of catching, it’s about the journey.

Have a place on the Wet Devils, 20 years ago every cast was a fish on, small mouth. With all the kayakers the fishing is not as good. Hopefully it now being catch n release the fishing will get better.

Hi guys. Enjoy your videos. Was wondering when you would get around to the Devils. Looks like all of you had a ball. You probably already figured it out, but what you called Indian Creek rapids was actually Three Tier. Your 1st night's campsite was about half a mile before Indian Creek. Both are quite challenging. Looking forward to your next video. Gave this one a thumbs up.

Man that was a nice video. I know it was fun besides the horrible conditions. But that's what makes the trip interesting sometimes. You all caught some nice fish out on that Devil's River. Paddling in 40 mile an hour winds man I know that was horrible and I understand why you was so exhausted. I clearly understand why that river is named that. But it is a river that I would like to kayak camp on. This was a good video thank you for sharing.

In Puerto Rico there is a river kayaking route. They call it the Jurassic route, you start it in a lake, you go through a cave system, it's really incredible !!!!

Epic trip man. I enjoyed the video. That fish at 17 minutes was a TANK. At 30 minutes I could tell you were way past done with that river LOL. But now that time has passed, I hope you look back on the trip fondly. It was definitely bucket list adventure. What time of year was it? A group of friends and I are scheduled to the first week of April, we can't wait.

Hey bud, I was hoping you could answer something for me. Do you feel that a pedal drive kayak would work at the Devil’s? Something like the new Hobie 360 system. I have a Bondafide SS127 that I use at Port A for running out surf baits and general inshore fishing around Rockport but I’d like to switch over to pedal drive for my Devil’s trip. What are your thoughts?
@WildBoundOutdoors
@WildBoundOutdoors 2 жыл бұрын
I think a pedal drive would do just fine if the water levels are up! We went in mid March so the river was way too low and we did a lot of dragging. I know some props sit in the middle and can pivot up into the kayak when there's low water, that one would be perfect.

You say the river was low when you went. Do you remember what CFS it was flowing at? Headed there next week and it is currently 150 at paffords crossing
@WildBoundOutdoors
@WildBoundOutdoors 2 жыл бұрын
I'm honestly not quite sure what the flow rate was. We put our trust in the shuttle service and they said levels were up, which obviously wasn't the case. They just wanted our money!
@WackyTerky

Was 150 CFS good enought to paddle the river?
@andyluikens8307
@andyluikens8307 Жыл бұрын
@@WackyTerky it was ok. There was places on the last mile or 2 that we had to drag the kayaks. We took out at pafford crossing.
