His rise to power is unlike most politicians as he manipulated the inner workings of the government to climb his way to the top. Moses revolutionized the American City, he would construct hundreds of miles of expressways, bridges, and parkways. In his 40 year career, his power became unmatched and was that of a dictator.

He's the perfect example of a person taking the reins of a new phenomenon and steering it in a particular direction. A man who left a mark in history. I can't imagine with all the oppositions and legal battles he thought of himself as dictator. Keep in mind that many societies value strong executives who create jobs for the working-class. Anyway, seems a tightrope walk between modernity and preservation.

Moses is seen as a villain in the city and a hero in the suburbs. I think history has too many revisionists and not enough story tellers keeping it in context. Thanks for not just jumping i to tropes

I agree that there is an issue with too much revision. Understanding the context of the situation helps us apply these stories to today's problems. Thanks for the comment and I will keep it in mind for future videos!
