Gary Coleman, Todd Bridges and Dana Plato. When you put all three actors names together like that, what would probably come to mind for most people is the American sitcom they worked on together as child stars in the late ‘70s to mid ‘80s called Diff'rent Strokes. And while that is true, they also share something else. An adult life full of pain, drama and tragedy.

Different Strokes:70s/80s tv classic that had some good episodes …..read Todd Bridges autobiography and it was fantastic but had some heartbreaking chapters…….in one part of Todd Bridges autobiography, he talks about how his and Gary’s friendship had its ups and downs plus their friendship first ended due to Gary’s parents and management team…….years later, after Gary broke ties with his parents, Todd And Gary got their friendship until Gary passed away…..Plus, I remember watching the last episode of different strokes final season in 1986, I was thinking why Todd wasn’t on the last episode…..come to find out it was Gary’s dad trying to get back at Todd for various reasons, but Todd Bridges got the last laugh on Gary Coleman’s parent years later…..RIP Dana Plato, Conrad Bain, And Charlotte Rae……

Todd Bridges was my first crush!!!! I just saw Dana Plato as Jane Fonda’s daughter in California Suite. Loved Janet Jackson as Charlene, Willis”s girlfriend. They dated in real life. They were such a cute couple. Todd said MJ played the song around them that became Thriller. Janet , Gary, and Kim Fields all did an episode of Good Times together when Florida was driving a school bus. Robin Thicke’s parents sung the theme songs for Different Strokes and Facts of Life, Alan Thicke and Gloria Loring. Robin does sound like his dad! Good childhood memories. I just loved the special episodes.

Wow I remember watching Diff'rent Strokes later on with the reruns, great sitcom, I notice that some of the 2 part episodes, Arnold was getting cast in serious situations. Willis gets beat up by 2 bullies, him and Kimberly tied up in a strange man's house, Philip not only losing his memory in a car accident, but got himself, Willis and Philip held up in a bank robbery, and got Sam kidnapped.
