Katrina _sings I agree with you that Filipino is very talkative n not ashame to talk to other people BUT .... afraid to talk in english to fellow Filipino because if his grammar is incorrect the Filipino people will laugh at you. ha ha ha, buti pa ang foreigner pag mali-mali ang english mo naintindihan nila.

That's weird. I think some Filipinos just become talkative when they meet foreigners because it's an opportunity to practice our English skills. Believe me when a Filipino goes to the cashier, the cashier only greets you and hurries with the transaction.

@mariopedutem7435 4 жыл бұрын
Maxinne Roseño Yes the Filipinos talkative to foreigners because foreigners understand you if your english is incorrect especially your grammar, try to talk to fellow filipino in english.... if your grammar n pronunciation is incorrect they laugh at you especially if you are a visaya, pero silang taga luzon or ncr ang kanilang grammar mali din even a foreigners their grammar also incorrect n the pronunciation it defends of the country. Europe, american or australia

"Hoy/Oi" is actually a rude way of calling someone. But if you know the person really well and you're really close to them, you can use it. EDIT: Yeah, I guess I forgot to mention that it also depends on the intonation. Sorry bout that. Thank you for the people in the comments who pointed it out.

Mana! うp乙! Here's the thing you need to remember: 1. We don't call someone "OI/ HOY" because its very rude, we call someone "ATE/KUYA" to a STRANGER and if you know the PERSON'S NAME, you must call by HIS/HER NAME. 2. Not all FIlipinos eat balot everytime. Even as myself can't eat that thing. 3. Because we are SOCIAL CAPITAL MEDIA OF THE WORLD, we are used to texting everyday every hours because we want to contact the person we loved. We always use FACEBOOK, KZfaq , TIKTOK , INSTAGRAM. 4. Not all Filipinos put soy sauce but instead we put "PATIS" or FISH SAUCE if we like salty stuff. 5. WE LOVE RICE!! From breakfast to dinner we always eat with rice if there is a dish. AS for the CULTURE DIFFERENCE: 1. DISCIPLINE. This is we lack the most, we'd like to learn from you guys , so we can do always the right thing to do, because most Filipinos are LAW BREAKERS. 2. To wash up your ASS, we don't use TOILET PAPER, instead we use WATER and TABO(MINI WATER PAIL with HOLDER). 3. Since Japanese have SHRINES, we have CHURCHES. 4. DATING CULTURE. In Valentine's day, a girl need to gift him a chocolate and maybe confess to their crush. While in the Philippines, IN TRADITIONAL WAY, some Filipino men gonna do "HARANA" meaning to sing a song to the girl he love, while in MODERN WAY, we are taking time to get to know each other, then a guy gives her FLOWERS and CHOCOLATES until the GIRL answers his CONFESSION. 5. If you ask someone and ask for the DIRECTIONS, we use our lips like kissing / duck face to put the direction. GUYS PLEASE NOTICE and LIKE MY COMMENT and I hope you notice this too Mana. Thank you for loving the Philippines and we love Japanese People so much. I hope you come back to Philippines soon.

My favorite culture diffference between Japan and The Philippines is about valentines day, mentioned in your video before, it's really cute, about Japanese girl making chocolate to give it to a guy she likes. I think it's because we are polar opposites that were attracted to each other's culture. Japan=Shy Ph=Outgoing Japan=Serious Ph=Relax Japan=Discipline Ph=Permissive Japan and the Ph are exact opposites and opposites attract, that's why we love you mana as a Japanese!

I don’t pour soy sauce on my rice. I am not talkative and I don’t approach people easily. I enjoyed when I was in Tokyo because people were quiet and minding their business. I enjoyed my stay there. 😊 I can’t eat balut. Filipinos do love using social media and contacting each other. But still, it depends on the person. There are some who don’t like too much of that. Hoy is quite rude to say to someone but if you’re close with the person it is alright. We sometimes say, “Uyyy! Uy is like “heyyyy...” but in sweeter tone. Some Filipinos like to be friendly and converse in English for those with broken English because they like to be friendly and to make sure you enjoy your stay in the Philippines. Filipinos in general are known to be very friendly to foreigners and yes, other Filipinos are stubborn, not disciplined enough. Unlike Japanese people that are very disciplined. To the person who said we don’t use toilet paper, just tabo. Lol. Not everyone uses tabo. I guess it depends on the person. Try visiting and staying in different cities/states in the Philippines Mana because there’s always a quite big difference per state even with the foods.. 😊 I am from Manila and Nueva Ecija. This was a fun video to watch. Thank you!

soy sauce with rice are for meals, for snack time we use milk and sugar with rice, while in some provinces, they pour coffee into their rice for breakfast.

The store part? In a small store a clerk might be like that especially if they don't have any superiors around that small store. But generally not what would you encounter because it is considered to be rude.

Balut, which is an undeveloped duck embryo, when eating too much like 3 or 4 at least, we can experience vertigo due to high blood pressure, so eat moderately
