Trying To Decide Between The Original Nike Air Force 1 and the AF1 Sage Low? Here is a side by side comparison to determine which is best for you.
Hey Everyone!
I was in the market for a pair of white sneakers and decided to go with the classic Nike Air Force 1. However, I couldn't decide between the original AF1 or the Sage Low which is their newer, platform version. Since I had such a difficult time deciding for myself, I figured there might be others who were trying to decide also but didn't fully understand the difference. So I wanted to put together this quick comparison video to hopefully help you differentiate the two and help you decide which version of the Nike Air Force 1 shoes are better for you.

@@doglovingirl i'm still so confused between the two, I have wide feet so I'm not quite sure the sage lows would be comfortable for me but then I love the fact that the sage lows look less bulky the '07s ugh, it's so hard haha

Thank you for this!! I’m looking through original, sage lows, pixel and second nature and trying to decide as someone who never had any AF1s before! I’m taller and like to have lower lift shoes so I’ll stick to originals I think, although sage lows look incredible too! Really appreciate the more refined look to them. Maybe when I’m more confident about my height 😂🙏🏼

So sorry for the late response. I thought I had replied already but I must not have sent the comment. The sage lows are a little heavier than the regular but not by much. However, since the SL are slimmer than the regulars, there isn’t as much room for the toes so I would recommend sizing up a half size in the SLs because of that. The regulars are more comfortable for that reason. I hope I explained that ok 😄 please let me know if you would like me to clarify anything 😊 thank you so much for watching!

The sage are so cute but I feel like the swoosh stands out way more on the originals. Like from any distance, the sage look a little more generic because the edge of the swoosh is so smooth it blends it. They are such a cute shape tho!

Have you ever tried stretching the toe beds on leather Nikes? I got the AF1 Sage for Christmas from my niece and love the look however, the toe bed is very narrow. I returned them and am getting a half size larger hoping they might work, but my guess is that they will still be too narrow. I don't have super wide feet but I've got a condition called a Mortons Neuroma in one foot and I really shouldn't squish my toes. Wondering if I stretched the toe bed they might work, but it's a risk since after they won't be returnable and they are not cheap shoes!

I got the Nike Air Force 1 Sage Low Platform Sneaker in SMOKE GREY and the toe area IS WAY NARROWER than the original! I had to return them! So beware. I think the Sage low is way cuter so super disappointing.

Did you get same size for both shoes? I currently have sage low and I want to get af1 '07 too but not sure if i should size up or stick to my true size. I got my true size with sage low but its kind of uncomfortable after a long day of wearing it cuz its narrow on the toe area, Is the original version wider? 😊

Yes, I faced the same issue. Got my true size in sage, but the narrow toe box makes my feet hurt. I recommend going a size up if you’re going for Sage lows and true size for 1 ’07s

The Sage Low even when sized up fits in the toe but not in the heel. I also have very narrow feet and I’m surprised on how much the Sage low squishes my feet.

Great vid. Thanks! I am getting them in size 3 girls. (Which will fit those who wear 4 to 5 in women's, btw). Since the kids styles don't say which shoe style it is, I am assuming it is the Classic Style. Idk if they even make the Sage Low in kids sizes at all.

Honestly, I would say the original AF1 are more comfortable because the toe area isn’t as narrow as the Sage Lows.

I was able to get kids sizing for the regular AF1 and they were $20 cheaper but they didn’t have them available for kids sizes in the Sage Lows. I’m hoping there will be some good sales going on for Black Friday this year so fingers crossed 😄

@@christinecho779 I ordered a Big Kid size 4 which is equivalent to a size 5.5 women’s. I think a 6.5 is a Big Kid size 5. Nordstrom has that size available for the regular AF1 for only $80. You can also look on Poshmark or Depop if you haven't already brought a pair. Most of them are used, but I was able to find a pair of airforce 1's for just $13!!!! It does take some time, but I highly recommend.

the soles are actually a lot more comfortable than the af1’s imo (i’ve owned 2 pair of af1’s and use the sage low rn)! however, the upper may be a bit stiff, but it wasn’t an issue for me and now as i’ve used them for a while they are super comfy
