I got a fairly basic 2023 SR5 TRD Off-Road 4x4 CrewMax and for me it was the best trim for the money by a long shot. No premium package, but has a heated steering wheel, BS Monitoring + 32 gallon tank, and the TRD Pro’s front skid plate for around $55K msrp. I like the durable cloth seats that come standard, and all the physical buttons for AC, volume, etc. are really simple and appreciated. The truck is for daily driving and light off road duties, and I don’t need “premium” headlights that hardly do any better (the standard leds are great), overpriced speaker upgrades, $4K to upgrade an already powerful engine, or an oversized infotainment screen bigger than most college laptops. It’s just a truck folks… and you can do a lot with the extra money.

I ordered a 2024 fully loaded SR5 crewcab. The differences for me: the Qi charger from what I have heard does not work well. None of these wireless chargers have worked well for me in other vehicles. My GMC truck and BMW car the chargers get very hot and there is little progress in the phone battery given the time it sits on the charger. The JBL sound system may be a good option but historically in the past I've added my on changes to the power and speakers in my latest trucks. Not concerned about the headlights and I think I like the idea of being able to manually adjust the height with the cool in cab dial. The panoramic roof is cool and helps open up the cabin feel but to me it has potential to break/leak so I could go without. Not interested in the iMax option for several reasons. I did get the TRD Off Road Premium Package intentionally with tow mirrors and I wanted the 18" TRD wheels instead of the 20" wheel. The 20" wheel option was an additional $1,580. I did get tricked about the stereo and made the wrong assumption premium meant JBL but I now see the difference in the descriptions. Thanks for highlights and clarity!

The other thing I’ve noticed is the cooled seats are only available in the limited. That disappoints me because I don’t care about the sunroof or anything else really in the limited. I wish it were an option in the SR5

I bought a 2024 Tundra Limited, crew max, 4x4. Are the harnesses setup for upgrades. For example I don’t have the front and side cameras. Can I just buy factory cameras and install them or will I need to buy a the whole harness to the screen?

To me, stock SR5 vs stock Limited -> the Limited is best bang for your buck money wise.

I currently own a 2021 trd sport crewmax and drove a rental (I now believe it was a 2023 sr5 with the package for 57k you showed us) and am now considering trading it with cash on top to get that bc that truck was a huuuge step up from mine. I've driven a 21 Taco TRD for three years now on lease. I was waiting patiently for the 24 Taco. When the build app was available I built one the way I wanted and it was almost $60k. I had to catch my breath. So I looked at the Tundra and I can get one with everything I need for around $50k all in. So I went down and drove one to see if it would fit in my garage bay & it did with the shortbed - only about a foot length increase overall. But my eyes were opened: really nice ride, quiet cab, and night and day more power! Sure, I can get around 30mpg with my V6 Taco, but driving home I remembered I feel every bump in the road and the cab is very noisy. So I ordered my new SR5 with Softex power seats, heated steering wheel, 32gal tank, and all the other standard SR5 accessories. I am excited to get my new blueprint Tundra! I will live with less gas mileage in absolute comfort! Wish I could get the bigger screen and JBL stereo but I can't justify the price increase.

I got my 2023 SR5 w/ 6.5 bed, fully loaded w/o the off-road package. Around 58k MSRP. I am happy with it coz I don't want the moonroof and the off-road ride is harder. Only thing I wish I could have is the wireless charger, and the 32gal tank. Maybe one of these days I will just put the big tank in myself.

You forgot to mention the front ventilated seats on the Limited, not available in SR5

Also does the new gen Tundra have cornering lights? Like when you turn the steering wheel to the left or right does the headlights illuminate that spot?

Yes, the options are worth it…every step up in cost for every higher trim is worth it.

I'm seeing quite a few new gen tundras on the road down here in the deep South.

I have 2023 Limited TRD DBC, I have the motor music model, which i really enjoy. The qi charger is really nice and have AC capabilities in the bed is nice. Has a sunroof, which at first was not too excited but when I got the windows tinted, I use it more frequently. Overall, i vote for the limited, the price difference was worth it. I, just glad I did not test drive the iMax.

I have a base model Limited. No 360 cam, no upgraded headlights or pano roof. But it's got my cooled seats which is a must have in Texas.

Sr5..sv, was, s2, XD, cy200 package. Basically trd upgraded wheels, rb, blacked out with soft Tex leather. Just need a pro grill and possibly 14” screen

Dealerships- at least in Austin Texas- are selling Limited (TRD OR- NH) for 70K. Building these Tundras on Toyota's website do not reflect dealership prices.

Great video! How could your DC be $57k? I thought the crewmax was $57k? I bought a 23 sr5 DC Offroad, listed at $50kish, got $2k off msrp. I wish I would’ve gotten the upgraded off road package, I miss not having blindspot monitors , karger fuel tank power seats. But, overall I’m happy and can live with it (in 60) drove my hd2500 fir 19 years lol. I reserved a cybertruck a few years ago so, I’ll see how those look and decide if I want to switch. I’ll have a year or two after it’s released to decide as I’m not at the top of the reservation list.

Got a 2023 Limited and didnt come with PVM system but came with all of the other base features. Now they are saying its "after market" and they cant install. All the parts are on toyota's website. I feel ripped off. Why would they even have Limited trims without PVM package?

Ever glanced at the differences between the Canadian spec’s vs USA. Canada has less options.

You also get cooled front seats with the limited! That option is not available on the sr5!

I bought the SR5 without any extras. I payed 45k out the door. I always modify all my trucks. I didn’t feel it was necessary all the extras for the money!

I bought the SR5 that was built. The MSRP was still $61K. It has the 20” TRD wheels, heated leather steering wheel…..Listening to this video I probably paid to much. I still love the truck and plan on it being my last.

Those prices are still excessively ridiculous. All those extras are just completely unnecessary and a water off money You'll quickly discover that you never use them. Just get the items that you know you'll use on a regular basis. When is toyota going to offer the XSP trim package again?

v6 = weak. the longevity of the tundra is its greatest feature. a turbo charged v6 can never last as long as a v8
