Extreme temperatures are heating up Africa at a rate of 1.5 times the rest of the world, a tangible effect of climate change. To adapt, many African farmers are planting increasingly bigger plots, which yield lower and lower crops and income.
myAgro offers smallholder farmers a solution by arming farmers with financial and agricultural resources to help them increase their yields and income. This ensures farmers create food security for their families and communities toward building a resilient food system for the continent.
Droughts, floods, denigrating natural soil, and climbing temperatures require that farmers adapt to the weather challenges each season, and myAgro’s financial tools and climate-smart agricultural training helps farmers lock away their own money for seasons ahead for a more productive farm and reliable income. In 2022, myAgro farmers grew 2.5X more food, which translated to hundreds of dollars of additional net income that can allow families to pay for schooling, healthcare, and sturdy shelter.

Part of the reason it's so hard for farmers in Africa to get the proper supplies is due to all the regulations and corruption that goes on in many African countries. This makes the price of the seeds, fertilizer, and machines far higher than normal and makes it difficult for farmers to make the money they need to buy houses, clothes, food, fresh water, education for their children.

Thomas Sowell had a pretty good handle on why Africa has some of the problems that it has and it’s not the peoples fault. We have for example in the United States the Mississippi river which is navigable. The Nile river is hardly navigable in Africa given the elevation changes. This has a profound impact on moving goods. Whatever products are grown or produced have a tough time getting to the market where they will benefit someone. I just use the Mississippi river and the Nile as an example, so the Einstein’s out there that wish to argue about this would be well served if they went to Thomas Sowell on KZfaq and watch some of his videos which usually are fairly short but in-depth analysis of the process. Not just accusations, proof.

Farmers need agroforestry. Trees bring water. Plant trees in berms to capture and slow rainwater. Get the soil covered. Perennials surrounding and supporting the annual crop. She never mentioned soil or water.

Well...make heavy effort to build up the level of underground water. Dig small canal all around the field following the contour line leading to public reservoir. Focus on plant variety. I know it's hard to find enough species, but with enough supports from both native and researchers it's possible to nourish the soil once again. It's not only because of temp rised which lead to drought and famine, it's how you shape the environment and as I've seen it's accumulative fucked up kind of environment. The reservoir won't show the result for several years or even a decade, but with proper management the efforts will resulting in the higher soil quality. The moment you see higher soil quality, it's mean the efforts already yielded great results. It's not the water or even food supply that you need to worry and take as number one priority, it's nourishing the soil to restore the once abundance forest that was in Africa over ten thousand years ago. It's not that hard to unfuck this situation, it's just need heavy efforts from the community to work toward this goal...not freaking save up the chump change like beggars in capitalistic hell. Nature > Life > Food > Security > Education > Money.

Damn...... can anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but did they really go all the way to west africa to make interest on the little income the poor Africans have there and 'persuade' them to but it in some sort of financial institution? If so, then help us god 🤲🏼

If you're really push effort to make the earth a better place. Do me a favor and spread "OUR" words. There are many people commented on this about general way to improve overall quality of life for these people. I won't tell you to stop those bozo that think they rules the world and want to colonize the space. Human can make and shape the society into a utopian dream one day. Surely it's not like the ideal, but at least it's not as fucked as now.

Boy are those numbers skewed. I recommend everyone go to a search engine including but not limited to Google and find out what the average temperature is in different areas of the African continent. This is nothing but bogus crap. And yes there are certain areas that are very hot but in Ethiopia for example the highest temperature recorded was 136° F I’m told and that was in 1922. If it’s too hot move. It’s easy to get into the United States just come through the southern border.

@@nottera Comedian Sam Kinison skit about world hunger and Africa, says it all. I am an 80-year-old person and since I can remember watching television and programs about different parts of the world, there’s always one segment where they’re trying to teach people in Africa how to drill a well. If you want to see something that I consider to be comedy but pretty much the truth, in your words “exaggerated”, go to a search engine such as but not limited to google and type in “Sam Kinison world hunger’. You’ll find it fairly exaggerated.
