Maintenance and cleaning tools I use to keep my Shopsabre CNC plasma table in top shape and ready to go at all times.
In this video I show the process and the steps necessary to remove the dross and waste material out of my water table. It's a lot of dirty work, but it has to be done!

Great video and so true. My son and I built his plasma table. His water pan is removable so we take the slats out, remove the pan and scrape and pressure wash it and then give it a fresh coat of paint after a little wire wheeling. Also, we plumbed the drain to have a dross trap and can hook a garden hose to it so we can drain the water out of the shop without having to roll it out. His table is 4'x8' and he has plans to make a 5'x10' with a down draft vent so we won't have to deal with the mess of a water table.

Thanks for your feedback! It's greatly appreciated! A downdraft wouldn't work for me, so I have to deal with the mess of a water tank!

Thanks, Kevin! It's just the one downside of having a water table, and most don't know about the mess when you have to clean it out before the buy one!

I'm building a table and I was going to end up spending a lot of time and money on painting all the structure. Then I realized how filthy the machine gets in a few months time. Now I'm just going to paint it flat black and save the effort

It's hard to keep it clean, so flat black is a good way to go!!!

You should try a powerful dry ice blaster like the karcher 15/120 to clean all the slags

Just had to clean my table at work which is without water and 6000x2500mm. It's the best part. No can't wait to get a water table with belts that drives all the slag outside

Thanks for the great video. I have had to clean mine twice and it’s definitely not fun! The metal dustpan idea is a great idea. What additive are you using? I seem so have quite a bit of rust after a short time. Thanks!

I have to clean mine about twice a year, so it's not too bad! In regards to the additive in my water tank, I use Plasma Defense, which I buy in 5gal buckets from Shopsabre for around $170. I made the dustpan out of 12ga, which is very heavy, and if you want to make one, I think 16ga would do the trick! I'm considering redoing mine! I hope this is helpful!

@@wolfgangsixl9283 Thanks for the reply. I liked your “dust pan” idea so much that I plasma cut two different sizes. I am getting ready to clean my table out again. I have been using the plasma defense as well. I must have gotten a bad batch or something. Everyone I know who uses it has always had really good luck. I have another pale of it I’m going to use. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

How to reduce smoke in plasma cutting machine(CNC) sir... Give me an suggestion...plz
@6ldesignsmetalinmotion217
@6ldesignsmetalinmotion217 Жыл бұрын
My suggestion would be a water table as I have, which minimizes the effects of smoke greatly, but it comes with a lot of maintenance as shown in the video! The only other option is to have a fume extraction system, either below or above the cutting table, which is a significant investment. If you can remove the smoke directly to the outside, it could work very efficiently, but in my case, I would need a separate air exchange system with a heating unit, because of the freezing temperatures here in Minnesota during the cold season. I hope this is helpful!
