those type of games were helpful in learning how to type better and faster imo. (meanwhile Google's auto correct is so good i feel like my spelling is getting worse as it can understand what im asking most the time even if a word doc would be convinced i had a seizure on the keyboard.)

I remember my gym had a daycare area for the kids and they had one of these in there. My little brother didn't want to be left alone and I wound up stuck in there with him a couple of times when I was 12 or so. They were not pleased with me when I got Quake running on it.

I remember this. My cousin got one a long time ago and his was red and yellow. Still has it to this day, and has it set up in a Disney themed room in his house. It still works, but has since been modified (by both he and I)

I remember when they came out with Disney mobile which was their own mobile phone service. I'm not sure which cellular service they were piggybacking off of but I remember them selling Disney branded phones at at least Disneyland I'm not sure about Disney World.

I loved playing Toontown in the 2000s as a kid, It's what made MMOs one of my most favourite genres. Everyone at school played Club Penguin and I felt cool not playing just some browser game. Can't believe the original game closed almost 10 years ago already.

Never had one of these computers but I do vaguely remember being fascinated by them. I used to go to the library and check out Disney PC games all the time, especially things like Magic Artist Studio and My Disney Kitchen. The Goofy skateboarding game was another favorite of mine.

This was my first PC, or another model in the same case with the same screen. I have no idea how my dad got his hands on one in the Darwin and I've never seen another before or since but I was stoked. It was a big upgrade from any PC we had owned before, and it was just for me! After a while the disc drive wouldn't open unless I hit hit the side of the tower. It ended up with a pretty big dent in the side, which felt like the milenium falcon to my child brain.

With bass boosted head phones the back ground music made me think I was in Jumanji, it was quiet and then every 5 seconds there was just a deep bass from when he first plugs it in to when it turns on

Im a year late, but I'm thrilled that TTR was mentioned. It is a revival of TTO, but Toontown Corporate Clash is a remake that is heavily inspired by it. Both 100% safe to download and fun to play for the nostalgic children at heart :)

I remember those times barely. We had one family PC and I think my dad had a laptop. He maybe also had a work PC but I'm not sure. That being said we had a lot of computers for just one household, which was simply a product of my mom and dad actually running a PC business. They did deals with no-name Chinese companies before it was cool to do so. In fact my PC stereo speakers that I am using in this very moment are about as old as me and I have recently tried to find the company that made them online to no avail. Some company based in Taiwan. Either way these are some good memories.

Lexnarks and these bundles so common I had a Packard bell iconnect from that era shipped in a bundle with Lexmark printer. Ink was about 1million. Also a scanner aswell.

Man, I remember the demo myself. It was such a fun little slice of the full game, a game I never actually got. ): But, it was still a fun thing to play even for a bit. Still remember trying to access other parts of the game that wasn't part of the demo and remember the whole "Sorry, not part of the preview!" via Goofy. Nolstagia is a powerful tool sometimes.

Growing up as a kid having a dad that worked on computers I thought everyone had multiple computer. Even up to 2006 a lot of my friends still didn't have their own PC. Looking back I see now I evolved with the computer times. I recently got back into computers with my own 9yr old son so we have a good HP gaming PC and working on some smaller upgrades to it now.

Takes me back? to where? I still run speedfan. It is still a pretty reliable program for what it does. Its like winamp. That is still one of the best ways to play music files.

SpeedFan stopped working properly for me when I upgraded motherboard a few years ago. Some motherboards it just doesn't allow you to control the fans and that one (I think it was the Crosshair VI Hero) was one of them. I could read the RPM but not control them, no matter what I did with BIOS settings. A while back I found a program called Argus Monitor and I still use it. It costs money (but it's like $50 for several years or something) and it's a great piece of software. Much better UI and more control over stuff. Advanced curves, averaging, comparators, etc. It's really nice. Instructions are a bit lacking but just mess with it and you figure it out.

Some enterprise antiviruses don't like our launcher, but rest assured the only funny business going on is when Toons are dropping pianos on Cogs. thanks to TTR, toontown has been growing larger and larger ever since early 2021 and has been more mainstream and popular than when disney was controlling it.
