This still hard to believe. I’m from New Orleans. When the Saints went on that 2009 Super Bowl run, every woman in this city wanted him. The ladies were crazy about him. Certain sports journalists are apart of the voting process for the HOF. T.O has a sour history w sports media. That played a role in why he wasn't first ballot like Moss, or Rice was. They had it out for him & used it against him in that moment. In the case of Sharper he'll never get in due to these crimes. The backlash towards the Hall & NFL would be catastrophic if he did at this point.

You should do a story on Kellen Winslow II who started serving a 14 year prison sentence in 2021 when he was convicted of 5 rapes. In 2023 he argued. that brain trauma he suffered, while playing in the NFL entitles him to a lesser sentence. He could’ve been sentenced to life in prison, but was given a plea deal for only 14 years. He was a first round draft pick for the Cleveland clowns in 2004 and only played through 2008.

I am not making excuses but brain injuries(CTE) had similar effects on Marion Barber, Antonio Brown, Tony Dorsett(he has not done anything criminal but he admitted he has some CTE effects in his life) and too many others to name. Imagine how many are suffering but either not aware or not made public. Often it hits later in life. I played college football as a running back and my son also was great at high school but we agreed it is too risky for him to play and sustain brain injuries for so long. Football is such a love of mine so it is sad to see good men get hurt like this then lose their minds. I wish all of them the best and hope they can get treatment and make football safer somehow.

I like that the words "sex" and "rape" are still decipherable in spite of the censor blur. Also, how bleeping the words just makes it sound like the censored word is "fuck". Replacing every censored word with fuck, makes it sound so much funnier.
