That and people who don't listen when the person says "stop", or worse, they get a power high from tickling another person and only do it just for that regardless of what the other person's emotions are or what they think. Lesson for all who need it: when someone being tickled says "stop", *YOU FREAKING STOP.* Don't assume they're just blurting it out thoughtlessly. While some do actually do blurt it out unintentionally then you need a safe word. Trust is also an essential factor, along with respect towards boundaries. It's heartbreaking that some a--holes abuse other people with something supposed to be innocent and have traumatized them. My heart goes out to all of you who experienced that. Someone answering the question "are you ticklish" is NOT an okay to tickle them. That's not playful -- that's assault.

I’m EXTREMELY ticklish, to the point that I will immediately start unintentionally fighting the assailant. Some classmates found this out the hard way last year in chemistry. It physically hurts whenever I’m tickled and I’m honestly scared of it now

I have fibromyalgia so it has always hurt really bad whenever people would do it to me. They thought I was saying to stop because it hurt just because I didn’t want to be tickled, but it felt like they were digging their fingers into bruised flesh

As someone with an actual tickle fetish, I hated this documentary. It brought so much negative attention to the tickling community, which obviously wasn't the goal of the film so I can't cast any blame. Just like with any other kink community, there are creeps and predators, but also wonderful people.

My mom's ex boyfriend used to hold my down and tickle me even when I yelled at him to stop. He also yelled at the both of us (mom, I) often, and he picked me up when I told him to stop. Also said my dad deserved to die and was a bad person because he died from drug overdose... Yeah. He tries to come back into our lives every now and then (stalks my mom's socials and showed up to her workplace). It's been like 4 years already. Edit- Should probably mention I was afraid of him and locked my doors at night even though I wasn't allowed to. Had extreme unrelated anxiety at the time and he called me a baby and stuff for it(Now on 100mg of Zoloft for anxiety, depression, and some OCD) . He also took the dog. Even though he bought the dog, he was my baby and I'll never stop missing him. Left us alone mostly since.

It's actually bad for the dogs. Yelling gets them all riled up for no reason, little dogs have high anxiety. Then he yells at them to stop and confuses them because barking is how they react when they perceive their owners anger or excitement.

Crazy fact: if you get tickled while on acid (LSD) for so long you eventually stop being ticklish, you can forever lose your ability to be ticklish again. Not sure if that's much of a fact but it happened to me sooo yeah. And no one believes me so I've had a bunch of people attempt to tickle me to and to no avail...

on the topic of ticking, this reminds me of how whenever I'd get on the bus as a 6 year old elementary student, I'd get kicked to the back of the bus by my peers where there'd only be a weird middle schooler in the back and whenever I had to sit back there, they'd always ask me if I was ticklish. Legitimately was always so scared that I'd just sit there frozen and not give an answer cause if I knew it was likely to get weird whether my answer have been yes or no..

Note to parents always check with your little one if they want to be ticked and or if they want the tickling to continue. This is a great way to help them learn boundaries. My little one loves tickling so it's been a great example to bring up when it comes to teaching them to respect other people's personal space. We remind them that we ask if they want to be tickled. This has taught them to ask other people if they want hugs cheek kisses or tickling.
