So here's a fun fact. The creator of the Digital Circus, Gooseworx, composed the soundtrack of Vivziepop's award winning thesis film, Timber. She also has some interesting animations on her channel for a character named Elain.

Fun fact: The Amazing digital Circus is heavily insured by the story “I have no mouth and I must scream”, where a corrupt AI named AM kidnaps the last 5 surviving humans in earth after he destroyed everyone else and spends over 100 years torturing them In every way imaginable

The creator of digital circus has stated that he’s not evil, just doesn’t understand humans. I say this mainly to present the idea that he’ll likely be used as the “bad guy” but as he learns to understand humans he’ll likely be used to help combat whatever the greater evil ends up appearing in the show. Which I assume has something to do with the dark tendril that appeared in one of the backgrounds that Cain flipped to in the trailer. Also, anyone else notice how when said tendril showed up, Cain couldn’t change scenes his first snap and had to snap again?

Caine's name could be a reference to the two things you mentioned: his cane and Cain. However, it can also be a subtle reference to his nature as an AI, with the notable addition of the i to the word cane. Subtle but interesting if true.

My working theory is that the Digital Circus itself was developed as some manner of VR entertainment system, with Caine being either an NPC or an avatar of the Circus itself that developed sentience. For one reason or another, Caine and/or the virtual world were deemed either faulty or dangerous (possibly because of Caine’s lack of understanding of humans and empathy) and was cast aside to fall into entropy, only for six humans to stumble upon it and get themselves roped into Caine’s… shenanigans. I also like to think that Caine is generally only harmful because of his own obliviousness and that he is, for the most part, unaware that the six humans fear/hate him. I also think that his creepier moments are just “episodes” that are quickly brushed aside and never really commented on. I also get the distinct feeling that there is something else in the Circus that is more actively malicious than Caine.

My headcannon for this show is the humans are digital backups for people who uploaded their minds into a digital future. However due to them being mere back ups lost and forgotten about on the circus sever they have incomplete memories resulting in them perceiving the whole ordeal as being transported. Thats why the world is using such old and dated graphics its an abandoned and forgotten sever barely able to handle the AI on it much less a playable 3d world.

So just pointing a few things out that I saw. You said “Victims” when the post said “Souls” there. Also, when Caine talks about the exit door, he says it like he wanted to surprise them with it but couldn’t figure out what to put in the other side, almost as if he doesn’t know what an “Exit” means.

I've got a theory myself! I've always been confused that Caine's name generator machine only has 5 letters. The only person who has a 5 letter name is Pomni. I have a theory that Caine actually does power over everyone's mind. Why would he ask Pomni "what's your name?" And that's the moment Pomni forgets her name.

I had no idea about Kingen being confirmed the first one to be abducted- I’m also wondering about what Pomni mentioned in the actual episode itself: the headset, or whatever it was. It seems like maybe she entered voluntarily but without full knowledge?

One thing that I think is weird, is that when Kaufmo abstracted, no one seemed to be sad or worry about him, instead, they act like this is a regular occurrence.

It's... quite obvious that this series is NOTHING like Murder Drones. Calling it a "Sister Series" seems to be obtuse. By that logic, Murder Drones is a sister series to Meta Runners/Sunset Paradise since it's made by the same people who animated it. (And before you comment, the creators confirmed that Meta Runners Tari is a DIFFERENT canon to SMG4 Tari) And for the last time, Murder Drones fans. DIGITAL CIRCUS IS NOT REPLACING MURDER DRONES. MD only has 2 episodes left which will give Digital Circus some time in the spotlight much like how Sunset Paradise and Meta Runners did when they started airing. Stop acting like it's the end of the world when really, MD is obviously going to get a second season. Give THIS show a chance! Tangent asiiiide.... I am very curious to see where The Amazing Digital Circus will go, because there's an interesting hook and... well we get more content from GLITCH so what's not to love?

Now the digital part of the title makes sense! I should've realized it could be about virtual reality! One idea with AI is if Caine is one then maybe the others could be different AI like Caine could be Top-Downs and the main cast are Bottom-Ups.

AMAZING theory! I have an idea too, I think that while Caine is AI, I think he has a human soul too. My idea is: I think that a long, long time ago, whoever the black character is, that black shadow guy, the one who grabbed Ragatha and was coming out of the hallway from the teaser, I think he's a glitch in the AI, and somehow the glitch made him have personality, and he was able to drag humans in, with Caine being the second one, the first one being Kinger, but Kinger had more awareness than Caine. And so while the other 6 human souls still remember at least a little bit that they were once humans, I think Caine was trapped in the digital reality for so long that he became part of the AI? Basically meaning, he was trapped so long, he went insane and forgot about being a human once completely, and that's why he acts happy to be there while the others want to leave. He thought he was there his whole life and never was a part of the human world, when he really was, and then he started dragging other human souls in somehow, like you said. Also idea: maybe the reason why in that one shot in the new trailer, he was seemingly yelling at Pomni, was because maybe Pomni and her friends figure out he was once a human and they find a way of escaping but he tries to stop them from there, and they try to remind him that he was once a human too, and he gets angry at them about it. I feel like Caine isn't there to torment the characters but rather he's an AI with the task of putting on a show with the characters that he is given from an outside source. Caine is not the one who seemingly drags the characters from the real world into the Amazing Digital Circus and he's not the one who keeps them trapped there. Rather, he seems to be an AI that is programed to perform with these characters that show up in the digital world. I doubt he even knows how the characters from the real world get there. He's like a child that is handed a group of toys from a parent or guardian and is told to play with them, with said parent or guardian being something that is above Caine in terms of hierarchy, the true mastermind behind the Amazing Digital Circus. Which is exactly how programs and codes work. Caine is a child program, following the directives of the parent program which either is or was created by whoever is trapping people in the Amazing Digital Circus.

look closely at the description seen at 1:05. it says that caine is playing with six human souls. caine is flowey confirmed.

If it makes sense that Murder Drones and The Amazing Digital Circus are secretly about the characters being trapped in a simulation, for one, the portal looking black hole back in episode 6 can suck up parts of reality, making it seem like it doesn't exist anymore since the word Null seen in a flashback of Ep 4 when N had touched the VHS is called zero in German, but what if the Absolute Solver is actually the Internecion Cube? Back in Internecion Cube Part 3, in the desert scene, when Max says that he and IC-On need food to survive, IC-On says that she needs to assimilate matter to support near infinite density and self-replication. When she says to assimilate matter and support infinite density, the Absolute Solver follows that desire, meaning that it wants to spread infections on the worker drones to take in information, to keep growing, to create more of the Null black holes by taking more matter, destroying more and more planets and even the universe itself. The more information it was taking, the more the Internecion Cube started upgrading itself that way to become the Solver that we know today, also having the ability to manipulate and control drones like Uzi and Doll who have Solver powers. But the difference is Uzi started to become more corrupted by the Solver, having complete control of her while Doll has control of it, possibly meaning she's teaming up with Cyn to destroy the universe. And I bet the reason JCJenson set out N, V, and J to kill the worker drones as the fact that they're the good guys could mean that the Solver Drones would have the ability to break out of the simulation and into the REAL universe, because the way that Tessa was young in the Elliot Mansion that I think would have been somewhere between the 16th and the 18th century, and the way that she looks now in the present day means that it was a decoy Tessa, NOT the real one, meaning the one with the JCJenson suit is actually Cyn when back in Episode 5 that when Cyn had hold one hand to her face during her talk with N, in Ep 6, the Decoy Tessa copied this movement, meaning that the real Tessa is kidnapped as we see on the computer that Cyn is tied up for some reason and possibly the Solver taking place in the mansion could've hacked it's way into time using technology. And as for the fact that Eldtriches like J can mimic a worker drone's voice and body movement to trick the victim into their trap without even realizing it means that Cyn is still in her Eldtrich form, using a hologram of the real Tessa, to trick N and the others thinking its the real Tessa, but the real one is trapped inside a computer with no way out. Recently I thought Khan was actually dead when his holographic form appeared as Eldtrich J ripped his body apart, making Uzi think her father is dead, but his comeback in Ep 3 means he's not dead and this can also mean that her mother Nori is still alive, somewhere hidden on Copper 9, and when I heard that she knows about the Singularity, this could mean she's the key to stopping Cyn from destroying the universe. Now, Nori is VERY equivalent to Uzi with the hat, purple eyes and hair (with is on the right than the left), and her secret stash of "kooky stuff" actually holds secrets as we see Khan put Uzi's papers back in the closet, as we see monstrous pictures of Murder Drones, looking all symbiotic just like Venom. Maybe it could be that the drones that have the solver could evolve into gooey, organic creatures. We also see multiple Ss across the wall, making it called the Singularity. But there's another clue of the S part. The S/N version. When I saw the closet back in Ep 3, I spotted a S/N number, just like J, N, and V have S/N numbers, this one has called S/N: S-010011X01. This means that there is a 4th disassembly drone who could've been hidden in the mansion flashback and Ep 5. This could be another female drone like V & J, or a 2nd male murder drone like N that we could possibly see in Ep 7 or 8.

Overall I enjoyed the show and look forward to more! its like a lot of internet culture mashed up, the backrooms, 90's aesthetics and what not. I do like your deep dive into historical esoterica and Gnosticism, and I am curious in which the abstraction of the Kaufy and being sent to the Cellar means. I think a lot of shows that utilize occultism that can be clever vehicle or mechanism for plot speculation despite sometimes being a bit shallow and superficial sometimes.

I just realized that The Amazing Digital Circus is actually pretty similar to The Matrix, in terms that in both, AI are holding people captive in simulations.

It kind of feels like the story _I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream_ by Harlan Ellison.

Base on your description, it sounds a lot like a new interpretation of I have no mouth and most scream, which has a lot of similar elements that the shows has.

And when the day has come, she will decide to kill off Caine, the Gloinks, and the game itself, and when that happens, everyone trapped in the game(including Pomni) will be able to escape the game if they want to.

Theory: Kinger was the one who made Kaine's a.i. for something like a self-writing kids show, but eventually got outsmarted by the a.i. as he secretly became more sentient over time and eventually became the first victim. This is only based on the irony of his name implying someone who decides on who is king and yet his design seems to resemble a chess piece that isn't king. I don't know chess well enough to recognize what piece he's designed off of, especially since chess pieces can have a lot of different designs, but I immediately assumed he was a pawn and basedmy theory around that. This theory may not hold up as well if he isn't based on a pawn, but this was based on almost nothing at all and I am most likely wrong lol. The reason why Kinger doesn't realize he made Kaine was because either he is lying about this so that other victims don't treat him worse for being the cause of their misery, or part of Kaine's advancing a.i. allowedhim to be so good at manipulation that he tricked kinger without him knowing what was happening or even just erased his memory of being the creator upon trapping him after maybe intentionally entering the program to shut Kaine's system down from the inside. Again; I have almost no evidence for these theories and I'm not claiming to be right, i just figured I'd d share them anyway for fun.

Okay so here’s my theory, I don’t think that Caine is evil, nor do I think he’s intentionally trapping them either. I think the game was developed but they forgot to add a way for players to exit the game as it was still being made, I think that these people must be beta testers or something and time stops when they are put into the game as it’s their minds in the digital world, the actual world would slow down completely for them as they’ve mentioned that they were there for years. Maybe it’s just their perception of time that makes them think they’ve been there for years when it could be that they’ve been there for seconds irl. I also think that Caine is not evil whatsoever and he understands the predicament these people are now in, he’s not forcing them to be there, there’s genuinely no exit and he can’t program one because he’s just an AI in this game. He just makes up these adventures for them to keep them from losing their minds. Zooble said she didn’t wanna participate and he was perfectly fine with that but the gloinks took her away so she got accidentally dragged into it. He also tried to build an exit for them but doesn’t know what they’d want on the other side of it, he can’t let them out because there is no way out. He also doesn’t like them going into the void because he’s probably been programmed to keep everyone safe so he doesn’t let them venture into it as in reality it’s probably just nothing, just empty space yet to be used. The adventure he sent them on was to keep them occupied and the gloink queen wouldn’t have actually harmed them at all, she was just acting and saying stuff to give them something to do. I’m not saying cain is the good guy here, I’m saying he’s more of an AI who can’t help them and his only option is to try and get them to do little adventures to keep them from going mad and abstracting. He’s more tragic almost as in the pilot I didn’t really get an evil vibe from him. Didn’t force anyone to do anything, didn’t try to put them in harms way for his entertainment etc, the humans can choose to partake in what he provides for them with no punishment. I find that more interesting than “he’s an evil ai that forces them to do whacky stuff for his twisted entertainment and won’t let them leave”
