Dr. Weiss, founder of Ethos Primary Care, embodies what it means to be a true primary care doctor. He listens deeply and compassionately, fully aware that your health is a direct result of how you eat, sleep, move, stress, and your connection to nature. He is the kind of doctor who will help you trade your prescriptions for plants. Deeply committed to helping people obtain their optimal health through living a mindful, whole plant food-based lifestyle for more than 30 years, Dr. Weiss has been helping people reverse and prevent disease and illness to live a more energized, fulfilled life.
Dr. Weiss is also the founder of Ethos Farm Project, a nonprofit organization and semifinalist in the Rockefeller Foundation 2050 Food System Vision Prize competition. He has been featured in top media, including The New York Times, The New York Post, The Today Show, New Jersey Monthly, and the feature-length documentary, "Eating You Alive."
The mission of Ethos Farm Project is to address the interconnected nature of how agriculture affects human health, planetary health, and our relationship with animals. To achieve this, his 388-acre historic farm in Long Valley NJ where he operates Ethos Primary Care from, produces truly nourishing food to feed the community, restoring the land, all while cultivating and empowering a new generation of farmers, doctors, and nurses through hands-on educational programming.
Dr Weiss feels that he is fulfilling his purpose in life through the work he does as a Board Certified, Lifestyle Medicine physician and the work he does through his nonprofit, Ethos Farm Project. Connecting his life’s passion for medicine and the environment, Dr. Weiss believes we need “all hands on deck” to combat the healthcare and environmental crises we now face as a species, in order to ensure a habitable planet for our children.
Dr. Weiss is here monthly, on Chef AJ, to answer any and all medical questions you may have. An experienced primary care doctor, there is no question too simple or too complex for him to handle.

Dr Weiss is so knowledgeable and compassionate. He speaks slowly and to the point so I can understand the topic he is explaining. I always learn from his interviews. The MBSR training sounds interesting and I will look into it. Thank you so much!

She can’t keep growing them over and over in the same soil without doing anything that’s his point he has a farm. They have crops every year.👍🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

I learned that the only thing my granddaughter adds to her soil, is composting that she buys at the garden center so I guess that’s what Dr. Weiss is referring to being that she adds nutrients to the soil

I love Dr. Weiss. I'm going to look into mindfulness as I suffer from chronic, severe abdominal pain from adhesions from surgeries. They tell me there's nothing they can do for me, and sometimes I feel the stress of this is so wearing.

Thanks a lot. I hope that people will not be discouraged by hearing that WFPB diet people get cancer in rare occassions. There are always ways to improve and change for the better, even with WFPB dieters. (1) You really need to be VEGAN strictly. I know that a few WFPB diet people are routinely taking supplements from animal parts. I would not mentioin their names, but I know this happened and I feel so sorry for them. I hope they will repent and stop comsuming animal parts. (2) You really need to cook your own meals. Don't let other people, especially untrained ones, to cook for you. They will put in all sorts of things that you don't want to eat if you know the truth. (3) Stop putting alcohol in your cooking. You have to cook your own meal. If you let other people cook for you, they might sneak in alcohol in your dishes. (4) Stay away from all smokers. Separate, move, change job, and do everything in your power to get away from toxic environment. (5) Stay away from unsafe sex. If your partner messes around, immediately end the relationship. That person could catch nasty diseases from other people, and spread to you. (6) Try to eat more raw whole plants. Raw plants contain more enzymes and improve your gut microbiome. (7) Go outdoors. Go to the nature, especially untouched nature to regenerate. Travel. (8) Associate with the right people. Go and find people that will love and support you. They are waiting for you to join them all this time somewhere on this earth. (9) Keep learning and improving. Pray. Read scriptures. (10) Cut out all sugar oil salt. Cut out all supplements. Cut out all processed foods. Cut out all drugs as soon as possible. Cut out all animal bodies and secretions. Read the China Study everyday to help yourself know the truth. May God heal you all. God bless!

Great tips. I've been vegan for going on 29 years. I work FT for in Corp. America type job, I work among a LOT of people, not even one is vegan or vegetarian. They have potlucks every week, everyone is overweight and unhealthy and people think I'm antisocial because I hate seeing dead animals all over the table for these functions, so I just don't go. I really wish i had some friends that were vegan, it would be great to have support at work. I admit, I do take a vegan multi, my Dr recommended it so I take it 3 times a week just to ensure all my bases are covered. I haven't been sick in well over 10 years even with all the crud going around, I'm in my 50s and take no medications and I run circles around those of similar age. Vegan really is the way to go.

@@workhardplayharderx2 Thanks. Good to know. Good for you. Maybe you could consider starting your own health and weight loss reading group in your workplace, or after work, and bring raw carrots or cucumbers or cabbage or broccolis to share with people and you can ask people to bring only vegetables and fruits to share with everyone. Maybe you can start by group reading the China Study, like each person reading one passage or for 3 minutes, and then stop and discuss after each read. Keep up your good lifestyle and health. God bless!

This person with cancer might consider going to Chris beat cancer. He could suggest foods that would be beneficial. My heart goes out to her. I was on wfpb for 5 years and got A Flutter. I talked to Dr Esselstein who said continue eating the way you are but food cannot help this condition.-it is electrical. Very heart breaking for me.

Wish you all recover soon. Even WFPB diet could be healthier if you switch to more organic and whole plants from untouched nature. Immerse more in nature. More outdoor exercise. Walk. Travel. Volunteer. Pray. Read scriptures. Move your home if the environment is too bad. Cut out all toxic human relations, and associate with the right kind of people. Try everything and keep up your healing. God's great compassion wil heal you, and heall everyone who believes in his great healing power. God bless!
