They upped the interior quality a lot since Stellantis acquired them. Much better with the leather covered surfaces compared to that cheap plastic of the past.

Great review of the new beast from Dodge! I have to agree with a lot of people rn in why isn't there an AWD option for these cars now. The trackhawk drivetrain has been around for a while now and even the lower trims of the charger and challenger have that option as well. Coming from a corvette guy though I still prefer my big cam ls3 with a blower on it every day lol.

Nothing out there compares IMO because this is the last of the true muscles cars left that resembles the 70 Challenger....the GT500 and Camaro don't come close in that dept...got a Red Eye on order in this my favorite color RED and will park it proudly next to my C7 Z06 manual the last of it's kind also.

I’ll hand it to dodge they sure figured out how to milk one engine without even giving the original product. When the original hellcat came out there was an article released where the engineers at dodge said the hellcat originally made 850hp and was detuned for a more streetable 707. I still respect the car itself but the toxic community ruined it for me

If you want to launch better trust me I know it may be illegal but get snow tires that have grip teeth on them get them hot then test that launch control out bet you will get 3.4 to 2.9 secs flat

21:13 I'd say the GT500 is the more well rounded car out of the three, it performs well on a track but to a lesser extent than the ZL1 and is faster in a straight line than the Hellcat Redeye which is only 10 hp down from this

As a former hellcat charger widebody owner. This car is sold purely on numbers. Sold it after 9 months for a c7 z06 and it absolutely spanks it in every aspect, besides practicality. With a pony car, you lose even that. The cat was such a piece of garbage. Fuel pump went at 3k miles, drivetrain balancing issues from day one that they kept saying were warped rotors (after changing twice on warranty) and loose leather on the seats after 2k miles. This is a toy and not a performance car that can be driven at the limit consistently.

there’s actually less traction going uphill, gravity wants to pull you down aka the opposite direction you want to go, giving your tires another reason to want to spin

No, theres more traction going uphill. More weight in the back gives the tires more grip. Gravity has the same force on you whether you are uphill or downhill.
