Updates on the Contract: $50 Million of the $325M will come as a signing bonus Yoshinobu will have 2 Opt-Out opportunities: After Year 6 and After Year 8 The Orix Buffaloes (Yoshi's NPB Team) will receive $50 Million from the Los Angeles Dodgers as a posting fee

Dodgers have been so cheap for so long in free agency. Refreshing to see them finally spend. Mookie was a trade. Freeman was a big signing but it came at the expense of Corey Seager and Bauer was only guaranteed to be here for one year (thankfully). Outside of that they haven’t signed anyone important in over a decade

I'm sure Yamamoto largely considered the Dodgers because they signed Ohtani also. It's much easier to assimilate when there's another player that speaks your language.

Yup, Yoshi had stated that he wanted to play with fellow Japanese players and we've known him and Shohei are close

They gave him G. Cole money without throwing first pitch in the show, im a dodger fan and i find it ridiculous the amount of money they payed.... Hopefully it worksout for the kid, the pressure and pedestal they are putting him on....

no deferrals. Only the unicorn player could pull that off because of so much money from endorsements. Some players do have endorsements but not in the same level as Ohtani.
