When they say "At the end of the roadhouse they've got some bungaloos", I image this place also has rooms to rent, like a motel. People can go there if they want to crash - or fuck.

The Doors are one of the greatest bands of all time. Every album a classic. And Jim Morrison is a legend. Every artist today wishes they could reach the heights they did.

You said to let you know if you're wrong. A rodeo is bull riding, bronc riding (saddle and bareback), roping, team roping and barrel racing. I know I'm forgetting something, but you get the gist. I lived on a horse farm as a child, the family showed horses, so we went to more horse shows than rodeos, but I've seen a few. My aunt used to barrel race as well.

"Peace Frog" is great. And "Not to Touch the Earth" is, in my opinion, the most Doors-y of their songs. It encapsulates Jim's crazed mystique and the band ratchets up the tension throughout masterfully. Consider giving it a listen. :)

Back in the day, a "roadhouse" was a country truckstop, with bar and grill, withone room "bungalos" in the back. The proprietor always had a black book of ladies of the evening.

Back when this came out we consider this a Boogie Blues type song you dance to it around the band not necessarily dancing with someone but just dancing with the music and the band.... another good Boogie band to listen to would be Canned Heat if you like this you like them

Found an instant connection with Jim at age 13 when i discovered him. Didn't find out until a few months ago after a dna test and a lot of research that he's my cousin! I was adopted. I really love the fact that every black person or couple that reacts to The Doors enjoys Jims blues songs. Oh and btw a road house is a tavern or inn with a bar on the outskirts of town. And there were many black establishments like this and I feel Jim was specifically trying to evoke the feel of a black roadhouse with this number.

Five to One, Break On Thru, Easy Ride, Hyacinth House, Love Me Two Times, and the epic--When the Music's Over. You won't forget that one. The Doors have been my favorite band for 40 years and I'm 50. They got me young.
