Shinobi Life 2 at it's peak was the biggest game on Roblox. But due to a series of unfortunate events, like the game getting taken down, and many bad updates, the game slowly faded away and now is a shell of it's former self.
Shinobi Life 2 was Rell Games sequel to Shinobi Life. It's the biggest Naruto game on Roblox and quickly garnered a huge community of fans. The game surpassed well over 2 billion visits, and is one of the biggest Roblox games ever. So what happened? Why did the game lose it's popularity? The answer is much more complicated than what it seems, but to put it simply, the game lost it's touch and people just simply lost interest. The game didn't have any game-changing updates to keep players interested and to bring in new players. And people were quitting faster than people were finding the game.

What is ROBLOX? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 8 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. i legit grinded this game for hours and hours a day bro i made over 90% of my friends list just from this game alone, i remember the great times i had with all my friends during the og times with war mode and all and we wouldn't even take it seriously, we would just chill,chat and boss grind, but now none of them play shindo/shinobi life 2 anymore and i only come back for events like the borumaki and kamaki gaiden event. its sad asf and shindo will always be one of those roblox games where even if you did something months ago, you will always remember it, just because you were having fun. I even had an online friend who would always help me with stuff and i would help him with stuff too like hunting fate spirits, scrolls, getting gen 3's, but he hasn't been online for over 4 months.... shindo will always be the roblox game i hold closest to my heart because no other roblox game has come close to how many great moments i made in this game. R.I.P shindo/ shinobi life 2....one of the best games i have ever played😔😭😭 edit: i even came back to revisit my fav game mode shindo storm/shindo storm competitive and it still didn't feel the same as over a year ago 😭

Although with the lack of updates are wild, I still find the game enjoyable since there is so much to collect. It’s like Pokémon cards. And I also have students in the game which is really fun to watch them get insane bloodlines that I still don’t have 😭

What killed shindo is the unbalance in power. If they release a god tier bloodline everyone would just use that and no one would use any other bloodlines so they have to constantly rework and change it

I remeber 2021, 2021 were my favourite days of hoping on with my friends and playing some shindo life. We has so much fun, spinning new bloodlines, getting tailed beasts and spirit, new elements and op swords but now, none of them play it. I recently played for a little bit because I just wanted to play it again. I made so many memories with this game. I remeber how excited we were to master tailed beasts. The fun has just, disappeared. Seeing all the low amount of players who play it anymore, it makes me sad because i remember the huge player count it used to have. After all the bloodline shit started getting out of hand was where it went down hill for me. Especially with the rell coin shit. During its peak though, I was there on my own cuz I didn’t have friends. I had irl few friends occasionally, when we played I used to flex everything I had because I actually played the game. I legit remember spending hours and hours helping my friends grind and teaching them the best grinding strategies. I would literally carry them through everything, war mode, grinding, boss fights, scroll hunting, tailed beats hunting. Everything. It’s still fun to hop on with buddies but the game is just not the same, imo. My best memories was when Shindai Akuma originally released and I got it real early. It was so op and I remember abusing it to a point beyond.

Man I stopped playing the game because everything I grind for would either reset or change like the ten tails I had the og ten tails from doing the waves that got switched up like 3 times and then I realized that everything wouldn’t matter anymore

They added too many garbage skins who are their own clan and added to much overpowered clans that made every other clan useless. The hardcore mode was super fun but they removed it shortly after.

When I first started back in 2020/21ish, I saw people with all these flashy bloodlines using all these jutsus I saw in Naruto. I wanted all of that. I thought I was broken with crystal and ice lol. When I got my first tailed spirit, that was my favourite moment ever. I remember directly; it was a gen 2 four tails. I was so happy. I would play this game for hours a day. I would look forward to weekends and after practice to play Shindo again for hours. It was fun grinding bosses with your friends so many times then when you finally get the drop, you are so happy and you instantly put it on your hot bar. The update videos coming weekly were something that me and my friends would watch together and discord, and also streaming each others spins and when someone got something crazy good, everyone went crazy. Me and my friends making multiple twitter accounts to like the twitter posts and get more rell coins is a dear memory. But now? I literally have everything, I'm really good at the game, and there is just nothing to do with no updates. I understand why they left the game, but the last time I played, I was by myself and I was just killing random people and I was still bored. I haven't played in months and I think the next time I play will be for memories. This game will always hold a very special place in my heart and during it's peak, it was not only my favourite game on Roblox, but my second favourite game in general.

I started playing in from the realease of the game when itachi sharingan was the rarest bloodline i remember every day trying to find kurama since it could spawn only twice a day and got very happy when got it i remember it to this day. I hope og shinobi life 2 could come back rn everything is kinda easy to get sadly. Back things were more rarer and would actually feal happy when you got something. when you got something.

I believe the reason i quit shinobi life 2 is due not to it having low updates, not it having boring gameplay, not it having painfull grinds ( which it has but they are quite fun ), But due to it having TOO MUCH updates, Like weekly you had to have pain in the ass grinding for the new stuff which was stuff that added a lot to the meta of the game, The 10 tails update was the best and worst, Cus it did add a new tailed beast, But it screwed all of the meta, it was too op and SUPER painfull to get, And the game would keep updating and updating, i felt i was being left behind of so much stuff i couldn't keep up to, so i quit the game.

I remember I used to server hop so much to get 9 tails,then some guy gave us a server code to a private server with 9 tails and I got it,or the never ending grind for ten tails.But now the game feels…dead.All you do is grind grind grind,gen 3 drop rates are to low,it started feeling like a chore to get all the new items.

I used to play this game a while back say like 3 years ago ish. I really had great bloodlines and taiked spirits. I even remember the war mode that was really popular in 2021. My online friends would play with me and we all would grind on it. And even doin boss missions etc. I then quit for 2 year's. Im revisiting the game 3 years later and alot has changed since then. I dont remember the new maps now and i dont know what to do anymore. But overall im re grinding and yeah ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

honestly, shindo life made me so happy compared to other games like blox fruit and many others even though I reached max lvl in bloxfruit but in shindo life we really had fun and we have so many memories that I will never forget I used to play every hour and check to see if new techniques would spawn every hour. Sometimes when my troops would text me, I would run to the computer shop even if it was too far from the street because someone just spawned. that tails beast

Game never felt right around 2022. No joke i have 666 hours on the game and most of my friends are from there. Its sad to see the game dead with no update like this. Good times when i used to pair up with randoms to grind for tailed beasts and had streams up 24/7. Id rather revisit that and experience it all over again 100 times instead of this current state

I really enjoyed shinobi life 2 and I remember How exciting getting a 1/100 rarity KG was so amazing and just made u cry cuz how hard it was to get. and Now its extrememly easy to get 1/500 rarities, and they inflate the number to make it look cooler and added so much BS sub- abiltiies, modes, 30 freaken tailed beast for literally no reason, and Hella hidden techniques that nobody really uses. It makes the game feel like Its impossible to get everythign and confuses u because their are well over 100 KG's. and I just hate how the new character models looks like, I remember first getting the Original Ten tails and it being super duper rare from War mode, in Shinobi life 2, and then all of a sudden they get reworked and add a bunch of villages and changes to the quest and make leveling up super easy, which isa good and a bad thing but really bad since people hacked and afk farmed to MAX rank. The original OG game was amazing because their was barely 20 KG/s, and I remember their being only 5 1/100 KG's making it super rare just to get 1, and I remember getting rinnegan and how exciting that was until they added like 20 damn rinnegans. They ruined this game, I played every single one of they Naruto games,

I remember playing this game in its first stages. I remember the hype and the skill factor of this game. There wasnt much content but that was totally fine. The content was at most balanced and there was much potential combos and mix ups you could do with elements and bloodblines. The issue is that they started to nerf everything. I remember using killer bees blades and not even being able to m1 after its special move. They gutted it and made it useless. I kept seeing more overpowered super fast aoe bloodlines and modes. They started to add more non naruto content, at first i liked it because it wasnt much and was kinda funny. However, it became the central point of the updates and the game has just become a sandbox game where they dump tons of random stuff. Having a lot of content is great, but seemingly having 100 bloodlines leaves bloodlines that are direct downgrades to others in the dust. Balance became an issue. The OG gamemodes and bloodlines became lost to time. I wish for the old game to be back.

This is entirely their fault. The balance of this game got worse and worse after the update of Bat Man, and the inaction of the balance team also accelerated the game's death time. Since then, their every update has been particularly perfunctory, and most of the bugs have not been fixed for 2-3 months

The balance team wasn't doing their jobs properly, they were very Bias to the things they used and liked including the things they didn't like. The Batman Bloodline they admitted themselves was made for players who aren't good at the game, so pretty much they just introduced a No Skill Bloodline that hard carries bad players. I just wish that the balancing was at least Decent, I gave up all hope after Minakaze got buffed PLUS got Baryon Mode 💀

They need reworks and balances, it would make a much more diverse game than the current code / borumaki gaiden spam. I think the ninja tools need the most reworks, then old bloodlines. Reworks constantly give the game new life and new players, just look at what happened when they reworked deva-rengoku.

List of bls they should rework: vine, giovanni shizen, hair (these three are the most important reworks that I think have the most potential), pika, dio, & azim-senko, wanziame, and basically all the elemental-slot bls. All of the element bls (clay, paper, black lightning, etc.) could have so much potential if reworked and would give new players a better chance when starting out.

What I’m looking forward to is the reworks for old bloodlines like jokei. I really think that Shindo has one of the best combat out of all games on Roblox since it’s so diverse (or at least used to be) and it is genuinely fun to fight unique movesets

Mobile support got improved and I finally got a pc to play this but theres just nobody playing it and im not surprised. Theres just alot to follow and too much to find without clear guidance or community. Me personally I really just want to use my own roblox avatar im not a fan of forced customisation especially this outdated kind of thing with lifeless faces and limited skin tones etc. The UI should be more colourful and updated.

What really destroyed the gameplay for me was the change of names. In the beginning it was fine, i could handle, but the reworks on some of the stuff were pretty lame. And not to forget the names of the npcs... Not to mention the fact that the game became so out of hand. There were these powerful toxic no-lifes that had a bunch of OP builds and the devs added so many nonsensical mechanics. They even ruined my favorite gamemode.

I think they reason why this game was falling off is because of the lack of updates due to the developers making another games and the meta was changing fast and people probably couldn’t keep up with the PvP especially the ogs but that’s my opinion

I honestly I think Rellsea might be overhyped because in their past work they have many unfinished game but still release are cash grab such as (my hero academia,) Naruto beyond and ro piece. If u play there game notice common issue like brain dead grinding, unnecessary gamepass that are lumped in main game for example clothes shinbo life 2 they should have make it separate instead of mix them together and game are way hardly rely on robux it not even free play friendly also there a lot of lag or make lack promise.

the game losed its popularity because the devs were asking the community what to do, you can see this as a right option but no, the game mostly played for pvp, and there is a little amounts of the players that play the game really good and not much to change the buffs or nerfs, the "pvp" or in reality pve community changed the game's combat system into what they wanted. the rell give them suggestions and they did approve or dont, but mostly they did like they dont had a brain. also the pve was too easy for the basic players, in sl2 the grinding was hard for yourself and you had to play for 7 hours or something to make 1k level, now its 30 mins just take a friend beside yourself and both of you kill the story mission bosses for 30 mins and you are 1k level, the rellgames monarchy was good in 2020 to middle of 2022.

I still rmbr the old days I was still in Highschool during covid when it was called shinobi life and I had already played some of caribros naruto games then it got changed to shindo life and I logged in didn’t have s rank anymore and they reset some of my BL and the 9 tails was black for some reason and I was like yh im quitting this game .😂

Aizden BL and, other bloodlines that were not in naruto ruined shindo life 2, like snake man from one piece anime, or that Ultra instict mode from sub ability, it was better when it was only a normal naruto game, now there is a lot of sweating players that are using Aizden, powder BL , and that blue element that you can get from matatabi gen 3 I think, its just annoying that much people use it, Idk even why RELL added things from other anime than naruto, I mean they could add more jutsus from naruto, like kakashi ninken summoning (kakashi dogs) or maybe that 4 peoples from orochimaru (kidomaru, tayuya and others) bloodlines, or maybe sasori bloodline, it would be cool to see 100 puppets attack someone, or maybe in clones in subjutsus, 1000 uzumaki naruto combo, I think you know what I mean, and they also changed a move from fire element which is flower pheonix, that was a good move, and now its just some fire frrom the ground, RELL ruined the game, well it is still cool game, I play it everyday, but it could be better

For me the thing that killed shindo was its terrible balancing, with things like ashura shizen’s 1st move that you can land while blindfolded, and CODE it just made it unenjoyable for me

Im wondering why shindo life even died it was such a good game just like star life legacy(in my opinion) . I feel sad and wondering was going on. I saw that he switched from shindo life to rell seas. I got upset because shindo life and star life were good games but now they are dead.

Ehhj, there's nothing to do once you get what you want. Plus the pvp is broken with the meta being either large AOE and s everywhere.
