It's about timing. This type of music was falling out of popularity when the song came out in 2010. The Downtown Fiction would have been more popular if they were around about 5 or 10 years sooner.

It's a great shame that they broke up after the failure of the last album recorded in 2016. And they are no longer in their social networks and currently each one is doing other things. Even strangely, the KZfaq platform is literally deleting all the videos that refer to the band. How sad. Hopefully one day they can come back ...

Jonathan Friedman Maybe 1D was the wrong band for me to say,5SOS maybe?You catch my drift though,the whole "Clean-cut pretty-boys in their early 20s playing Pop-Rock" kinda image.And trust me,there's a lot of bands who play their intsruments & still keep that boy-band image to them.Between 1D,5SOS,& ATL,I like none of those bands,not into this kinda music,I just like this song in particular.

Heard this song on Pandora recently for the first time and instantly loved it. I just assumed it was a newer song. Was singing it around my wife the other day and she asked why I was singing that old song. Had no idea this song is nearly 6 years old.
