Do you think Twitch would throw their own platform under the bus with one of their top streamers to be labeled as a place for adults to talk to kids when they were the one's investigating themselves? Wouldn't be the first time Twitch has done some shady ish.

Twitch probably discovered what was going on early and took action before the victim and/or Twitch could be physically affected. The victim is typically replying in these kinds of situations, the problem is it's illegal. I'm sure they paid his contract to save to platform from being labeled as a place for adults to talk to kids. As for the kid, probably too ashamed to come out to millions of ppl that could send her death threats etc. or could also be under an NDA and gotten paid. Just because Twitch investigated themselves doesn't mean there was no wrongdoing.

While I’m still on the fence about all of this that it could’ve just maybe been a harsh disagreement behind the scenes about the contract or what not, There’s always a million things why it could be why it’s underwraps and hush hush/vague. It could most likely be the case that something illegal did happen and twitch wanted to catch it before the news caught wind and hurt their reputation. Not just that but I wouldn’t blame the victim for being ashamed to come out and risk death threats from unhinged fans n all. It will already be rough mentally having to deal with VERY unhinged people online after coming out and responding. But until then, Until that former twitch employee provides smoking gun or atleast concrete evidence and isn’t trolling. We just may never know. But with the NDAs, Legal stuff and the vagueness around the situation, We can only go off those things for now mentioned in the video.

The lawsuit was never about the allegations, the lawsuit was about twitch’s termination of his contract, it wasn’t about “judge we have the receipts” that’s irrelevant to the lawsuit, twitch had no right terminating his contract even if he was actually outed as a chomo or even if charges were being filed against him

Prosecuting pedophiles is very tricky to do if they get exposed online. Just look at the EDP situation and all of Chris Hansens targets. They usually get off scott free or get handed VERY light sentences. Usually it's best to let the feds take care of it in situations like this. My guess is that if the allegations are true Twitch just wants to pay out Dr. Dusrespect so they don't have to discuss the fact that Twitch gave a minor acess to whisper chats.

Can we please stop believing allegations at face-value? You'd think after the Metoo false-accusations, we'd be more skeptical of these things. Wouldn't be surprised if he is guilty of this, happens all the time when a guy gets that much influence, but we have no evidence for this. No screenshots of the texts, no victim coming forward; nothing of substance. Until that does come out, I'm saying innocent until proven guilty.

If Doc truly is innocent, the best way to prove it is to sue the guy for defamation. Because this is a huge hit to a person's public image/reputation. Something creators like him depend on, in order to keep their jobs essentially.

my guess is the truth is somewhere in between. if nothin illegal happened, then it was probably some active u/a female fan that frequently interacted with him through chat and probably just asked about the fan meetup stuff and without knowing the girls age just told her about when the meetup would be. situation was thought to be something else, it was investigated, nothing wrong was said or done, but the ban still happened and they can’t talk about it because they don’t want the public to know they can read those chats since it’s a violation of privacy.

Bad take to think doc has to respond a certain way to such strong allegations. It's not "legal jargon," it's explaining the outcome of a settlement. Last I checked a settlement means an issue is settled. So unless there is some proof that can bring criminal charges, maybe try to remember its innocent until proven guilty. If there was a crime, let's see some proof.

there is 100% a NDA or settlement clause that specifies that he's not allowed to directly talk about the contents of the lawsuit or say "im innocent" as more likely than not the reason they attempted to wrongfully terminate him IS actually 'talking to a minor in twitch whispers' but evidently he was legally cleared of any wrongdoings and twitch decided to settle with those aforementioned clauses. No matter how you look at it, there's no world in which he gets paid out if they have palpable evidence, the whispers, that he was talking to a minor.

I'm waiting for evidence to show, I've witness one too many times where people were accused of this or that and people thought guilty and treated them like they were guilty before any evidence was shown. When they were actually innocent and/or the victim.

I don’t think you understand, twitch banned him before even coming to a conclusion, and when they finally did come to one they realized they messed up and paid him the rest of his contract, but he still left the platform.

The entire buried Dr.D story is related subject matter that would cost all of us millenil and gen z’ers a lot of money to explore. Here we have a classic scenario of how Bommers have disallowed the youth to hold them accountable for their mistakes.

I’m not sure how to say this…but Twitch made a deal with Dr.D that leveraged Dr.D’s own discretions against Twitch in order for Dr. D to retain namesake. His agency protected Weinstein for 20+ years. The best legal maneuvering in history happened in those conference rooms in the days, weeks and months following the weird stream where he is clearly given information that he has been banned for Whispers.

He probably can't say anything because of NDA's even if he didn't do it. I think that something happened but I don't believe that Dr.D did what they're accusing him of, idk there's too many fingers pointing in different directions and no proof to conclusively say anything major. And also I don't trust Twitch employees in general because they're some of the most slimy and disgusting people around; in personality and mortality.

Basically got 2 options. 1, Doc did it and Twitch covered up a felony for years, bad look for Twitch and this ex employee guy. Option 2, it's cap, and they're trying to get him to violate the terms of his settlement by attempting to clear his name. Either way, this is bad for Twitch and really scummy. I wouldn't be surprised if the ex employee guy still had high up friends at Twitch that would benefit from option 2.

Not how I would respond… I would do a Star Wars Theory and threaten to sue for defamation. rey odd but again, no evidence and no police investigation and the assumed victim didn’t come forward. If it was settled with hush money there has to be a paper trail and Twitch could be in violation of legal agreements. IDK…
