The Drums is the most honest band I've ever heard. And this honesty makes each song magic. Every time I listen to them I feel like touching something really fragile and intimate. Just purity of feelings and freedom of soul

With 'Money' having recently blown up on tiktok they're starting to get the views now, but that's already almost a decade after they basically split up, with their music since having lost something. But during the years of their first 3 albums yeah it seemed the case.

Such a beautiful song, love, LOVE IT. I discovered The Drums just a few days ago (fuck, why so late?) and I am falling in love. The bass line here really reminds Joy Division-New Order. And Jonathan is a great singer and frontman.

When I was travelling asia, for a long period i'd start every day with the live version of this tune. The feel good vibes, sick joy Division sounding bass line, amazing vocals and that drummer killing it are just perfect to start a day :).

I think they should do whatever floats their musical boat and makes them happy, but the point is that this is rehashed music and places like KEXP should be trying a little harder to expose their audiences to what's new and creative instead of cashing in on low hanging fruit.
