CC and CR are fundamentally different. CC always looks for more ways to make the game interesting. In the years I've played, they added builder base, clan wars, raid weekends and so much new content. CR tries to keep the game the same way it is, very rarely adding new content in order to push people to pay money on trophy road and clan races.

COC is also more f2p friendly while gems and magic items does skip progress, you still have to learn how to attack. you cant 3 star every base with just one attack strategy as every base you meet has a different layout and require a new strategy. and even if you do find a base stronger than yours, not a problem. click next or attack something lower if its a clan war and let a higher level teammate take care of it not the case for clash royale. strategy means jackshit when your opponent's musketeer is one level higher than your fireball and can survive it

My opinion about each of the games: Clash of Clans: Progression friendly, no brutal mistakes yet. Boom Beach: Great game but hard to understand for new players. Hay Day: It is at its peak in a while. Underrated and performing well. Brawl Stars: Progression friendly, active community and fun with friends. Clash Royale: No need to write anything.

imo the only brutal mistake of coc is the first iteration of builder base. being limited to 3 attacks with loot a day isnt that fun and while loot in bb is still slow, its certainly better than what we had before.

@@lillyieI feel like it wasn’t too brutal of a mistake though because old bb was still fun at early levels but nothing changed at higher ones. For instance with the home village the higher you level, the more content you unlock and easier it is to get loot. If old builder base wasn’t completely time locked or pay to beat, then it wouldn’t be bad. Also it just got too repetitive which was a main issue

I believe that Clash of Clans is closer to being pay 2 lose than pay 2 win, not just from a resources and progression standpoint (a new player who whaled their way to max town hall level will now have to learn the game playing against people who have learned the game and it's strategies for years, if not over a decade), but also from a "fun" standpoint, the journey to a maxed base IS the game, slowly watching your base expand and evolve is one of the main parts of the game and I'd imagine that you'd lose interest in the game very quick after that

Personally, i think brawl is the most F2P, there was literally like 2 upd that was all about making it f2p. Even the premium pass was excessible by gems which f2p players could access. And pwr lvls are very balanced as a pwr 9 could easily beat a pwr 11(max) if the player was using a decent brawler. I think gems for the premium passes for CR and CC would be an incredible addition for f2p

@bambooniballs16 Bro i have been playing since 2019. I have one f2p and another account where i purchased gems. The difference between them isn't that big considering the fact that i play in p2w account a way more. Also i bought ever other battle pass by just saving gems. Its true that brawl stars was a bit p2w when lvl 11 was introduced but then they released really good updates which fixed issues and made progress easier.

00:23 I'll stop there for awhile. I quite agree,coc is totally f2p friendly, coz it wont force you to spend cash unless you want some just for you to be satisfied with it. I played cr before I guess but didnt enjoyed it,and so,making it as more of p2w game is reasonable since theres coc for f2ps. I enjoy coc tbh,the hardship gives you fun,and sadness when you dont have gems or boosters to boost anything.

I won't say it does not force u to cause when u pay in the game the time saved is huge but and u buying stuff or not does affect a lot but bs is totally f2p as u can buy skins pins sprays and all the other stuff which does not actually give u big advantage over other non payers and it also gives every other brawl pass for free and recent update also potentially made a lot of skins 90% free

I returned to Clash of Clans for its tenth anniversary and haven't stopped since. Before that I played back in 2015-2017, but stopped after I got stuck halfway though th8 (since troops used to not be free to train like they are presently), but the fact that I made it to th11 in a year playing on and off and spending around 100$ on gold passes and occasional shop offers blew my expectations away with how fast the early game became. The rest I spent on hero skins and sceneries. The new Gold Pass (even for the inflation adjustment) is great and gave f2p's more rewards as compensation. What really hurts me about Clash Royale is I've played it since the first day of global launch and experienced its decline after 2017. I used to spend a lot on it until level 14 and champions were introduced which was the last straw for me with spending money on it and the Update for Losers made me quit for good. I spent hours a day on CR practicing an original deck only to have power creep out the wazoo ruin any odds I had of achieving success. The duality between the games comes from both the respect for their playerbase's money and their monetary incentives. The CoC team learned their lesson the hard way after the TH11 update when they removed TH sniping and after the Witch broke the game for a second time. 2016 would extensively fix lots of the loot issues present at that time, and over the years after would gradually reduce troop prices until nowadays where there is no risk to being a bad attacker other than losing trophies. In addition to the plethora of handy new things every player has gotten that I'd be exhausted from talking about in-depth. I look at CR updates these days as terrible sports teams always getting first rounds picks just to repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot and learn nothing from multiple seasons of tanking, whether intentional or not. The only "Players" that will even stick around in CR's foreseeable dark future are rich whales who will always be able to afford overpriced shop offers and the gutted diamond pass that no one asked for. If they had never put the Book of Books in the pass to begin with, the game wouldn't be in the crisis it's in now.

No amount of money can buy player skill. Which is why Clash of Clans has stands the test of time. An easy to pick up casual game that caters to both casual players, & higher-level players interested in the competitive aspect of the game, which is definitely nuanced enough, with a constantly shifting meta with each update, keeping things interesting & fresh. Brawl Stars is built the same way. Everyone will mostly have the same tools more or less eventually, & it’s not locked behind a paywall like other games. Plus, watching the pros go at it is pretty exciting making for a healthy growing E-sports scene. You can pick up the game & play for 5 mins, then drop it & come back later without too much worry that you’ll be losing progress, keeping it from feeling like a job, or you can go on a binge & play for an hour or two.

In clash of clans , as free to play, once you are maxed, after each new level you can reach max in 3 months and then maxplay for around 6 months. In clash royale you never reach max

Furthermore, there is no need to max in the first place. Maxing doesn't gives you an advantage over a lower lvl TH because matchmaking is also based on TH lvl. You could just sit and enjoy the TH lvl you are comfortable with without worrying about facing TH15 as a TH10 player.

Brawl Stars: Gems are rare, but useful in a lot of good ways, including buying the pass. Clash of Clans: Gems are common, but they are still useful for when you want to skip stuff. You can’t buy the pass, but hey, that’s okay. Clash Royale: Gems are common and very useful for anything besides the important stuff. You cannot buy the pass, and that’s important. Boom Beach + Hay Day: idk because I haven’t played them, but I’m gonna guess that they’re at least better than CR.

@@ayowdf I played it too from the APK releases (betas) when it wasn't released on Play Store and I was a kid. I stopped few years later, learning how valuable is money and how pointless is to spend them there where anything you pay for in that game will be completely useless or nerfed or become easier to find for free with time. I understood the level of powercreep of that money grabbing game. I returned and left often, like, once a month I checked and left. And in 2023, when I heard about new updates like Evolutions and stuff, and ALL the bad news about the state of the game, I returned to see if it was really that bad: *to my surprise, it was even worse.* I do regret having wasted those 100€ of in-game purchases but I'm also glad, because it's thanks to that awful mistake (and the remorse after) that I learned the true value of money and how scummy game companies are.

I ve started playing cc and cr again at similar times, for cr it was just generic update. but when I did cc it gave me a whole secret mechanic of righting my own village? and i realise how much skill it takes to make a solid defence and a great attack. cc is skill based, cr is money based.

CoC has an end goal, to eventually boot up the game as and upgrade that last 10 milloin dollar wall, which actually keeps the players somewhat engaged. Whereas cr their is no realistic goal, for most causal players you can't get into those top arenas and you end up playing against repetitive decks and will never reach the pro level.

"auto chess ripoff" but auto chess is a type of game, not a game in its own? anyway "since cm balance team sucks way harder than cr" okay so defending time, the cm team is obviously not the best, it is very small and cm isnt global. whenever there is an issue with balance they try their hardest to fix it whenever theres an issue. attacking time. the cr team is ass, its always been. evolutions are made to be overpowered for a while costing a ridiculous amount of money so you would spend that insane amount of money just for it to be nerfed into the ground and be ass a week later. now for there "not being strategy in cm" it is a strategy game, the main part of the game is strategy, this is just stupid, im assuming you arent in any of the beta countries to play the game, if so you havent gotten to the sweaty leagues like legend and ultra legend

I think it's townhall 13 now. I will see though as my townhall is upgrading to 12 now and will be ready in 3 days. The upgrades looked fairly cheap, at least compared to 1 year ago and most of the times are shorter than townhall 11 upgrades when I started it 1 and half years ago. The only part that I heard still sucks about townhall 12 still is the 15 hero levels for King and queen and 20 for grand warden.

@@silverwatchdogI will make an argument that it is th 14 as 7 mil for a wall is too much. 16.5 mil for an archer tower is too much. Upgrading pets is too much. Still, I enjoy the game playing it f2p because of attacking and social aspect of it. There is stuff to make it less hard plus new events such as the recent Halloween event shows that the developers are putting love into the game.

The Brawl Stars being made because CR was too pay2win is a terrible point. Clash Royale never had too much of a pay2win problem even once Pass Royale came out, which was also after Brawl Stars global release.
