finding a dread serpent at boatmans watch isnt really uncommon, that boss is so incredibly buggy and inconsistent that it sometimes just washes up on the shore of random ass islands

A thing I love about deepwoken is how it didn't need to add voice lines to Dishamon Erisia yet Naktigonis not only did it, but each word was delivered perfectly, you can see his seriousness crack, revealing his destroyed mental fortitude as he says "and you are what?".

Started playing deepwoken because of the primadon video, mixed feelings but I mostly like it when I'm not getting ganked on or murdered by sharkos (I suck)

Fun fact a corrupt mudskipper broodlord has 18,5k health. More than some endgame bosses. Also you can turn your sails in according with the wind. You can see the direction of the wind by looking at the flag on top of the ship.

The story based video format is something deepwoken content really needed, like the video being from the point of more eclipse's character is very unique

And by the way, the reason you struggled so much with the Ferryman is because his bossfight stands out from the other ones in a unique way. He has the most bossfight-like fight in the game, requiring you to follow specific repeated patterns, unlike other bosses that have ways of going through your focus. As the ferryman himself says, that is more a dance than a fight. It follows a specific pattern with some rules, and the ferryman has some rules in him movements as well. He reacts based on how you move around the battlefield. In the Javelin attack, he will always teleport away when you approach him. The lightning strike attack, he will always stand still during and after the attack (for longer in phase 2). The lightning assault, it's a 50/50 wether he lets you hit him or not. The lightning clones, he stands there for a short period of time before teleporting away. Also the ferryman's damage can be negated by putting him in hitstun. Hitting him will prevent his attacks from dealing damage, kind of like with real players.

I've never played deepwoken but your way of storytelling, aka "a deepwoken story" gets me really intrigued and invested in the game, it's mechanics, how it looks, and the story. All I'm saying is, love the video a ton and I hope you continue making them.

Ok I did not expect this to be a whole ass story video. I like your usual style too, but this is a really nice change of pace! Ngl I'm kinda envious of your experiences first fighting these bosses XD. I'm assuming that you likely went into fighting them without watching lots of tutorials/delving deep into the wiki/getting too much help from others, all of which I received or did when I first attempted bosses. I suppose doing that removed the more explorative and storylike aspects of the bossfights, but it's really nice to watch someone who gets to experience the full thing! You'll beat Chaser and Ethiron soon... You got this!

you should make a contractor slot, the story is a really fun expansion on the duke quest (try to be aligned with the ministry in an account, and then do the duke quest, after that you might have to search some stuff up because its really complicated, and you are gonna have to get some information from sources that are hard to talk to) theres also another expansion to the duke quest, with the maestro, you should be able to check it out on that slot if you have around 80 weapon

this is a legendary series

im quite glad that you decided to do duke, because i think that duke is the first boss that you have to beat (personal opinion)

I’d like to give you a tip for ferryman and that is when he does his lightning strike attacks if you attack him during that attack it won’t damage you. a tip against ferryman: even if he is in a state where he will teleport the moment you try to m1 him, using mantras at a slight distance will not make him move away and you will deal damage, ignoring his teleport

When you are fight a golem or any other enemy that attacks alot very fast you can m1 while parrying. When you parry the golems spin attack you get auto parry frames, so you don't have to manually parry, which is why you can m1 while doing it. Keep click F and m1 fast (Recommend holding the mouse button because it is easier)
