I loved Sentry. Sentry was fantastic and i strive to be at least half a paladin player that Rhi is. That being said, Ophelia is just a delight to watch. The chaotic rich girl energy is just...perfect.

It would be intersting if Ophelia's superiors in the House of Blood could watch and communicate with her through Percival. Like, every so often Percival's eye sockets fill with orbs of blood and his jaw drops open as the words of the High Priestess projects from it in an ethereal and ghostly voice. "All work and no play makes Ophelia a blasphemous girl."

They'll probably go to Ossius at some point in the future, but this would also be interesting. I doubt Ophelia's superiors will be very happy with her.

@@OrgrimDarkwater Not exactly. They're kinda pmaying her like a Dhampir(sort of) and treating her more like shes a living being that has Vampire like traits. Plus we dont actually know how Mark is gunna make vampires in this new setting. They might not technically be Undead here.

@@OrgrimDarkwater I think it depends on the Ossian definition of work. Ophelia's clearly had combat training, so that's allowed, but doing things like household chores is frowned on.

@@OrgrimDarkwater It sounds to me like each of the houses seeks immortality through undeath whilst having mindless or simple minded undead do all the physical labour. Using the house of blood, undead like percival who are mindless are servants to the 'living' intelligent undead (vampires). I imagine the houses of bone, rot and shroud (whatever the ghostly one was called) also grant immortality through their respective forms of undeath whilst using simple undead as labour forces or in the case of the house of shrouds as spies.

I've been watching since the original campaign (Lightfall). It's crazy to look back and see how much things have changed in just a few years. I think it's amazing, and inspiring, that you've been able to make a career out of tabletop livestreaming. Really enjoying the Altheya campaign so far - a lot of D&D squads are more combat focused, so I really enjoy the (mostly) relaxed pace of Mark's campaigns and the detail of the lore and worldbuilding. I get really into all the different NPCs and factions. Thank you for sharing and for helping me relax after work for so many years!

I've been following two channels that have awesome adventures and very different style of DMs and campaigns, The Unexpectables is my first recommendation: This channel has two campaings the second one is in production, they dont use face cams nor have a studio, but they are voice actors that play in Roll 20 and Discord. However the FIrst campaing is really another thing, its set on a Far away Island on its world where big weird stuff happens, the main city is ruled by a council of Aasimar (and the Aasimar on that world are fantastically written and imagined) The main party switches from their adventures to a shop they maintain in the City, and the Shop is slowly filled with an awesem cast of NPCs, Some times a friend of thems joins temporarely the party and they help to grow the city. It has magic, weird magic, ancient curses and beautiful food descriptions. The second Campaing follows a completely different continent where a Plague has fallen upon a country and the new Adventurers fight to reclaim the land from the damned. DM by Monty Glu an awesome female DM. The second channel is The Dungeon Dudes. these 4 friends besides a dnd campaing run dnd content to help players and dms with ideas and discuss dnd mechanics monsters classes and styles of play. Their Campaings are the Drakkenheim Saga, Begining with Dungeons of Drakkenheim, Some 15 or so years ago, a prospeorus country called Drakkenheim was struck by an eldrich meteorite, chaos inmediatly ensued, but the inmediate destruction was not what made the city fall, as this meteorite contained a weird mutagenic substance the fallout it caused spread trought all the kingdom contaminating the core of the city, its sewers and everything and everyone twho lived here, in the present with the Rulers lost to contamination, external political influences wants to take control back, There are 5 different factions that wants to enroach in the city each one with their own agendas, being them: Purging the Contamination, Claiming the Throne, Harnesing the Mutagenic, Protecting the Kingdom or Embracing the Contamination. THe Group has to deal or ally with these factions in order to survive in the ruins to explore and further their own goals. this channels has two more campaing following this premise, and wont elaborate more on what they do as they spoil the narrative. DM by Monty Martin one of the Dungeon Dudes. lol i just notticed both are Monty and both are Canadian too, i hope you enjoy them as much as i have

8 years. Wow. I discovered D&D thanks to you guys and I've been in love with it ever since. Specifically watching Kim and Duncan play flux buddies and she mentioned something about a dungeons and dragons game she was going to join. Being a nerdy kid at the time I had to check it out. I was there for episode 1 and I couldn't be happier.

Mark's friar impression is perfect Wondering though, didn't the house anticipate the struggle that Ophelia would NEED blood and struggle greatly because she was away from the supply? This hasn't ever come up before? Seems like being thrown to the wolves... Unless that is exactly what they wanted. Do they want her to become a predator? 🤔

That's a very interesting observation. You could possibly be onto something. I've been having the same thought in the back of my mind about the lack of preparation with the blood for Ophelia. Considering the fact that Ophelia is slowly realising the fact that the blood that she's been fed by her house might've not been animal blood after all might hint towards something like this perhaps. The reason that the House of Blood might've given to Ophelia for not providing blood for her might have been that she could easily aquire animal blood from local stores in the Empire, or in the wild, so it would've been unnecessary extra luggage. Or maybe something like that idk. Just wanted to share my thoughts ❤

@@nanospeed2550 well certainly it wouldn't be feasible or even possible to supply her with enough supply to last very long at all considering her mission was going to take a very long time. That said, it's the choice of not counseling her on the change which was about to happen to her. That's interesting because this realization and struggle after the fact (assuming they don't prepare anyone for this) would have happened many, many times before to others who left out and came back prior to Ophelia. So not warning her of this inevitable problem must have been intentional... Which then brings up the question of why she wasn't warned and the purpose of keeping her naive and ignorant of this. Is this a house of blood coming of age/ initiation/ intentional test to put her through hardship and show her the harsh truth of their house? That they are predators beneath all the socialization, and life is a struggle of survival of the fittest? Maybe more will be said about this in the future in-game.

We're now 9 episodes in, and I feel the show can start picking up the pace now. As the ep was called "the Duke's favour" a meeting with the actual Duke would have been expected.
