It is often referred to simply as streaming. Non-live media such as video-on-demand, vlogs, and KZfaq videos are technically streamed, but not live-streamed.
Livestreaming services encompass a wide variety of topics, from social media to video games to professional sports to lifecasting. Platforms such as Facebook Live, Periscope, Kuaishou, Douyu, bilibili and 17 include the streaming of scheduled promotions and celebrity events as well as streaming between users, as in videotelephony. @@gavinlopez7302 Basically, vtuber dude (dont even know who he is) decided that he will show up at the convention, however because the dude didnt wanna face reveal and other shit he just decided to go behind the scenes and host a small concert everyone in the convention can attend if they want to, mostly including songs made by him the reason it looks that way is just because he isnt a huge ass corporation that can afford full on hologram shit like the kazuna or hololive concerts that were held, it looks goofy but considering the entire event was optional and free i dont mind it

As a disabled content creator, Vtubing is what made streaming accessible to me. Do you know how hard it is to face cam stream when you look and feel like shit because of your health? I can't even sit upright to stream, that camera angle would look like shit. Others may think Vtubers are "stupid" but it has allowed many of us disabled and chronically ill housebound folks to actually have somewhat of a job and social life.

Not to sound like a dick, but you don't have to show your face in a stream, you don't have to do a facecam if you're self conscious about it. If you think that nobody's gonna watch your stream if you're not making some dumb overexaggerated face, just remember that one of the most beloved streamers on the internet, Vinny from Vinesauce, doesn't use a face cam for the majority of his streams.

Also there are different types of stream content, some more suited to no cams. I also like having a way to express myself without words and without having to show my actual face.

That's why it's kind of a tricky situation; because 17 and 19 isn't all that scandalous between two regular people but when the older party is in a position of power over the other (i.e. streamer and fan) it becomes a problem. Groomer or abuser, either way it's definitely wrong though

The reason people like Vtubers is because they combined two communities that frequently have overlap (Gamers and Weebs) and manage to have the best of both worlds, it is effectively what if a anime character started a gaming or music channel. Because nobody knows who the Vtubers are in reality they can comfortably let loose and play a character who is nothing like them, they won't get bullied over their appearance because they can sculpt it as they please and their true appearance is unknown, they can play up traits they have in real life without having to worry about embarrassment, the degree of separation also permits people who might never become streamers otherwise to do so as they are wearing a perfect mask. As for the normal streamers who bitch about the success of Vtubers and think it is unfair all I have to say is this: Join them or shut up

On reaction videos, I love them, especially when they're, you know, *_Actual Fucking reactions._* It's like, Brother, the main point of a reaction video is the _reaction_ so when you just sit there saying fucking nothing, doing nothing, it's a boring ass useless video and you know what I'm gonna do? Go find a different video or just watch the original again cause even rewatching is more entertaining than your statue ass. Good reaction videos are ones where they actually comment on the video as they're watching it, sharing their thoughts and opinions and my favourites are when they go on anecdotes and tell personal stories that relate to the content. in regards to valkyries aave "scandal", i dont know the context and i dont watch her but contex really matters when using aave. People probably got mad at her because she missued it and/or overused it. Theres a deep history for aave and us black people find it crazy that the same dialect we got shamed, bullied, mocked and turned away jobs for is now "trendy" and seen as "gen z language". We had to speek like that because we didnt have access to proper education so we had to sorta make our own way of speaking. Its part of our culture. That said, i dont have a problem with other people using aave as long as they know what it means and arent misusing/overusing it in the wrong context/situation.

Even if it was an AAVE term (it's not just hypothetical), we shouldn't be gatekeeping words. No matter what the origins are, everyone should be able to use and say whatever they want as long as they aren't used in a mocking or racist way.

I really wouldn't do a hot-tub stream, but I honestly think hot tub streamers are smart. Twitch is getting nuts with bans. My buddy got banned because his phone dialer was on screen. Another friend got banned because he was making "sensual" noises. Yet there's women painting their nip nops with lipstick... Also twitch is getting nasty with ads and takes more and more percent of what streamers make. Kick will slowly take more and more from streamers as well.
