But what i meant is that they could have done so much more with her character, she had a job she liked, she could have had a stable career for some time, mature and grow as a person and then have kids. Instead they put her on the same exact path Claire was on 26 years prior. Im not a fan of this storyline.

Haley was shown as someone who is not spontaneously bright but has some street smartness And she had few instances of being responsible sister and daughter thriughtout the show The charctere development she got twords the end is being more responsible ..which she wasnt befire he becoming mother And how she would just suddenly goes through charcter change to someone too smart Bcs if that hapoems then it seems forced Its better be gradual and thats what they did

Oh my! This is the same thing with society, everyone wants people to end up with someone who is an "upgrade". What should ultimately matter is that the relationship works, and the couple is happy and they are great parents. Dylan is such an amazing compliment to Haley. He worked hard at getting a career.

I used to love Modern Family but this just feels like the writers got lazy and bored with the show. Palming haley off with Dylan and getting her pregnant was just so undeserving to her character. When she was with Andy it seemed like she was really going places and now they’ve taken all that away and stuffed her with Dylan like she’s a teenager again. Not impressed.

Well tbh it's kinda accurate if you think about it, moving out of ur parents house at 18 is kinda a pipe dream now, not even people who got there degrees in college can really afford to move out of their parents house on account that they have loans and the job market isn't very friendly when you don't have experience, no matter if u got the degree or not

Andy probably was an exact copy of Phil but that doesn't mean Andy was haleys Phil... Claire didn't like Dylan just like Jay didn't like Phil. Phil and Dylan have parallels. Their both loving and honest and a bit goofy. So even if Dylan isn't an exact copy of Phil there are some parallels between the two and I like that a lot more. In one ep Alex said Andy was exactly like Phil and Haley wasn't so happy with that. Bc it's a bit weird. Yes Andy and Haley were cute but it's always been Dylan, Haley just had to grow up. Bc honestly all the on and off stuff wasn't on Dylans part he was always crazy about her (just like Phil for Claire) but she wasn't ready then yet. That's my take on it anyways Parallels like : Jay saying he found Phil there for the first time as well. Dylan wearing a heart costume when Phil did that for Claire as well (season 6 and episode im not that sure of but probably like 1) And yk the hole thing that Jay didn't like Phil and Claire didn't like Dylan. That Dylan isnt perfect just like Phil isn't perfect. Andy was too perfect and too similar to Phil in my opinion.

Haley, the girl who brought over her first boy at her house, has two twins with him. Alex, the studious little girl is an actual genius now who's working as a scientist. And boy...Luke, the little boy who got his head stuck in the rail, now has his mind stuck on his hair...and his looks as he prepares to date. Doesn't time fly.....

This is the best TV family/show in decades. Nothing has come close to depicting a real family in years like this show has. The actors/writers have done such an amazing job. I cant believe its ending. A big part of my heart is being ripped out.

Tina Yael Severinovna M. I feel this is the new normal, specially in the Los Angeles area. My neighbors daughter left but then came back with her grand babies. Then got a new bf and more grand babies. The same with my cousins, one moved back in after years on their own to “save for a house” and the other spends some days at her dads and some days at her in laws, traveling to both areas to live.

Oh God. The Snoopy joke. The "is he gonna sneeze?!?! (obviously yes)" joke. The terrible Facebook Portal product placement. Haley still living at home with her kids and her baby daddy (not achieving anything more than people's low expectations for her in the earlier seasons.) This is legitimately embarrassing.

The show was coasting in its last seasons but the sneeze joke is brilliant for it's self-awareness of the cliche.

Honey, this is life. you can't have a perfect life with a perfect job and a perfect boyfriend. She didn't wanna get pregnant, it was a mistake. And Dylan is achieving many things. He was a nurse by the end of show. Even if both of them aren't perfect, They still love each other and is happy with where they are.

This show was so good......then it got so bad. It’s really hard to keep a sitcom fresh, at least it’s soothing seeing the same actors every week for many years, provides some calm to a tumultuous world.

How does the facetime camera works? When it follows as Alex moves, I thought she used a camera with function to follow a person. But at Dunphy house, lots of people moving, in and out of the angle and still naturally zoom in and out and turn just by tablet PC leaned on wall.
