"Your rambling thoughts" as you say, are the best on the internet when it comes to gaming. I mean a guy who understands that Dwarves are the best fantasy race is already aces in by book.

Played this game for several hours already, it's a wonderful title. Like another poster though I'd like them to make the world gen / society gen less random.

I bought this game almost right after it first became available and have played it a couple of "rounds", although none after the dwarf update, so maybe time to consider a new round. Unlike you, I find the "granularity" one of the most hilarious aspects of the game because it allows for some really absurd discussions in your group over their individual preferences for certain materials. If I remember correctly, the devs toned down the consequences of such disagreements quite a lot, cause in the early versions, they could literally murder each other over the prefered material for gloves and you could have characters with such a burning hatred for pig skin gloves that they would dedicate their lives to eradicating anybody who dared to disagree. Oh, and I think the devs also reduced the duration of various grudges, so that you wouldn't get a mutiny over things that happened many years ago. But it's stuff like this, the absurdly quirky personalities, that really makes this game so special for me.

in regards to the opinions, it might be easier to track and display if it was broken into categories. so like, anything made out of orcs is good, wearing helmets is really good, but dislikes things made out of plants, so a helmet is good as long as it's not plants, but orc is really good. It would be the same level of granulation, but easier to track overall.

As someone who started with a town center and built a nice cavern city below it i am enjoying the hell out of this game, i reached stone under my city still have not found the under dark or under world if you perfer but i am in a nice place i wonder if children are a thing so far no!

Clipr can want a bow and not use it, just make sure he's got a weapon's rack in his room and then givies him something he likes to carry better than the bow. Pawns prefer never to have items that are theirs to be taken from then, but will store them on a weapon rack in their room.

I'm a halfling/dwarf fan myself. In a Isekai anime, I'd be transformed into a halfling or dwarf, based on personality.

I like stupid amounts of granularity in my games. I think it might just need to be tuned and maybe smoothed a bit. I.e you should not have idiosyncrasies, and you should be able to get by fine without caring about e.g materials but just the bigger stuff (but better if you do).

I do like this game, I just dislike how...random everything is. The kingdom names in particular can be just...awful at times, and I'm not a fan of the character models. That said, it is a fun game to build an inn and make mad silver from renting out rooms to weary travellers and selling them meals.

Fun title but the building is nowhere near as tight as Dwarf Fortress. The conversation system has a lot of promise for the future though it doesn't do a lot now other than raise happiness. For example, if someone who has been affected by your enemy tribe visits, you can ask them about the likes and dislikes of the enemy, giving you a chance to spread rumors of their bad behaviors. Doesn't do much now but I can see a future where you can use this method to get other tribes to attack each other. Still think it has some ways to go but the foundation is solid.

The granulatiy of the likes and dislikes are what would prevent me from getting this game. Preferences to different styles are fine like Leather vs Plate or Axe vs Sword but what the items are made of is too much.
