Did you guys like this game, or was it overhyped?

The fact that Tenzo, the killer of Jin's father, was more loyal and honourable towards jin than ryuzo, his oldest friend was, is poetic irony. And i love it.

Kazumasa: Avenge me! Kill him you coward! Jin: No. I will never be like you. The way you lived was not my choice. And your death was not my fault. This was so powerful. Jin finally accepting his past.

Jeez, The Eagle was an amazing villain. Got real Scarecrow vibes from her. Also, I get Kazumasa's nature after losing his wife but his cruelty was unacceptable.

The music in this game is another level. It’s so goddamn good especially in this scene. The way it swells when Jin comes out of the vision, the way it drops when the sword clash is over, really made me feel like I had overcome a great difficulty and came out the other side stronger, ready to fight with new resolve. So good.

Jin saving the man who killed his father shows how much of a samurai he is. Serving people even if they harmed him. Truly a masterpiece of a game.

5:46 when that music kicks in, you just know you HAVE to win

Jin has overcomes the guilt of his father and becomes the True Ghost. What a legendary ending

I played this part with the Sakai clan armor. It felt like poetry, wearing the armor of my dead father, to defeat the eagle; I was not my father, I was Jin Sakai.

Wow the way your last swing ligned up with the cutscene was flawless

It’s said that the guiding wind is Kazumasa’s spirit guiding Jin. The violet petals represented the hallucinations Jin endured through out the expansion. At the end, as Jin meditated and finally found closure, you see the guiding wind blow away the image the fear that the poison created.

She is super difficult on lethal. I thought after Sekiro lethal wouldn’t be a problem for me… I was wrong.

I like how Kasumasa says "sometimes what is necessary is also terrible," then later tells Jin to "do what is necessary," meaning "do what is terrible."

This dlc was amazing and honestly it helped me come to terms with a lot of shit from my own childhood and stuff about my dad that I haven't been able to process, good job sucker punch.

I'm glad someone else said it too, that this villain was so similar to scarecrow, in all the right ways. This music during the fight was fantastic as well.

Another masterpiece by Suckerpunch. This game just keeps on giving. See you in September when the new online content is added Legends!

She sure is agile and can take a hit for someone her age. Got some seriously wicked moves. Never saw that flying staff flip when I fought her. Wonder how to dodge it. A LOT of new attacks are real bastards to dodge/parry, especially those twinblade brutes. Ridiculous hitboxes. I guess the Suckerpunch devs were mad about everyone saying the game was too easy. I definitely turned the difficulty down from Lethal to Hard when I got insta-killed by one of the new enemies pretty early on, it’s an insane difficulty spike. That being said, I can see this fight being not too bad on Lethal.

This music is epic as all hell, its even cooler when you do this fight with the ghost armor.

[4:50] - The strings instruments slowly interjects themselves into Jin's leitmotif, signifying the voice of Kazumasa begging Jin to do it. It seems to me that the strings play a repeated tune that goes up and down; up being Kazumasa wanting to Jin to do what he says and down being Jin denying it, showing that he is not his father. [5:07] - The lone flute (Jin), starts to overpower the strings before pushing away the sound of the strings, the voice of his father. [5:22] - The strings return in a consistent tune, it's more uplifting than previously. It could mean Jin has already come to terms with his fathers' darkness and used it as a stepping stone out of it, reaching higher and higher to the climaxing clash. (I also like to point out that after the clash, it starts playing "The Legacy of Kazumasa Sakai" which also shares the shakuhachi element in it so make of that as you will.) [Summary] I'll admit that the last one seems like a stretch but nevertheless, the music chosen was perfect for Jin's confrontation with Kazumasa.

I have OCD and the voices she speak to Jin during the whole time randomly on Iki island is EXACTLY what the inner voice I have, those intrusive thoughts. In the end, by learning to forgive himself Jin broke free of the poison. I learned to do so and it REALLY helps. I never thought a video game could be this amazing.

Very fun boss but what's funny is when she gets hit she moans for some reason like she's enjoying getting slashed by a samurai sword

This fight had all the emotions. Masterful.

I am in love with this game, the duel puts a nice touch to the gameplay.

I don’t know if this is considered a cheese but when she pulls out her staff dont engage just run around her, after like 10 seconds of doing that she will then switch she will switch to her much more manageable sword stance

the start of phase 2 hit me hardest when i played it,gave me a rush of energy

She is fucking ridiculous on Lethal+. Such a fun fight, though

from losing his home island after saving it, to redemption of feeling guilt his whole life + saving the killer of his fathers. Sucker Punch deserves an Oscar for making this one of a kind game! the sequence of the story is beyond imaginable, the music is intense in every scene that makes you feel you are among them. P.S. Tenzo actually went to save Sakai hence why he defeated the other goon and went and prevented the eagle from killing Jin.👏🏼

One thing i really like abt this fight is that i think my game glitched but as soon as i reached the 2nd phase, Jin started attacking waaaay faster than he did the entire expansion, idk if that's the poison fading or what but i loved it, it felt like Jin literally dropped a whole weight

I must have redone this fight over 50 times, most of her attacks where unblockable so even with side stepping or dodging the secondary or tertiary unblockable attack that spans the entire battleground still got me taking me down to 1hp again

I loved the fight so much. Although eagle lady kicked my ass 😅. The whole expansion was really cool. The wisteria parts were so beautiful. The only thing was I made the mistake of going to the island almost immediately after reaching part 2 and boy was I underprepared. Now I’m back on tsushima and everything is easy.

When Jin learned that Tenzo had killed his father, when he uttered these words: may your death adorn all living things! I did like this: 😮and then like this:😢 . But damn, what happened next? Nothing! I can't accept the fact that Jin so easily forgave his father's killer. I understand that Kazumasa was not an angel, but this is his father! Had the mixture of forest fly agarics changed him so much? This is contrary to his character and how he behaved throughout the game. It would be logical if Tenzo were at least killed by the Mongols, but the worst thing is that nothing happened between them, they didn’t even sort things out, didn’t fight, didn’t talk and didn’t quarrel .. Now it’s not Jin, but I don’t I can let it go! There was supposed to be a climactic denouement between him and Tenzo! Damn it, at least they stuffed each other's faces, but there was nothing there .... I'm not satisfied :( I have an open gestalt

I did this fight last night omg it was such hard fight on a harder difficulty . what an epic fight it was . what well done final boss . whole thing including your cov with your father . i mean that was on another level type of final boss fight

Amazing part of this game Is that some duels will only take a minute or two due to having full resolve, maybe even Ghost Stance Or they’ll take an hour because you have no resolve

the main story brought closure to the plot but the expansion brought a closure to jins character as a whole

if anyone else playing on PC now find that the iki island expansion part seemed bugged, like sound of fighting would cut out and couldnt parry sometimes

She seriously moved like a bloody boss right out of sekiro crazy fast combat but loved it

I was playing at the highest difficulty and was defeated several dozens of times but... When Jin was spared of the vision and his theme started playing my blood boiled and I entered the Ghost mode and killed the Eagle with half of her xp in just one determined attempt. I haven't even had a chance to realize it.

Man when that scene and the backround music happen got me hype so much, i had only got 4 heals and i kept on losing at the eagle and when i saw that scene i knew i couldnt mess it up by dying again id ruined up that moment and i had only like 1 hp left i was going try hard mode and guess what i clutched it

Felt so good cutting her down, I got really tired of her intermittent shit-talking while I was doing stuff. And as for Jin coming to terms with his past: it felt like everything came full-circle and though he(Jin) used guerrilla warfare tactics, he was a true samurai to his core

the best DLC for Ghost of Tsushima. New enemy type that enhanced the enemy attack and enemies that switch weapons on the fly. New final boss that's more threatening than Khotun. And finally Jin let's go of his past and finally moved on.

Dude im so Hardcore underleveled. I am at the beginning of act 2 with like no health upgrades and cant get back to the mainland. Im on hard difficulty

I did not fight her but beat the game. Did I do something wrong? Really wanted to fight her..

this DLC/Expansion was amazing. however i have a few problems with it and that is how muddled it seems to be for example. 1.Jin's status=he's constantly refereed to as a Samurai and is treated as one by the people of iki despite the fact that his clan was disbanded and that he is wanted by the Shogun and the fact that the iki people see that he does not fight like a samurai at all yet no one says anything. 2.Jin's character is pretty much regressed completely back to having daddy issues and guilt for his fathers death when all of that was tackled and settled at the end of the main story by killing or Sparing Shimura. Jin breaks all ties with his identity and becomes the Ghost in it's entirety. Jin Sakai IS DEAD so this entire "sins of the father" storyline seems really out of place. 3. Is Shimura alive or dead that choice has literally no effect on this DLC and shimura never onced showed up either which makes no sense. (no flash backs with Shimura and Kazumasa to get an idea of how they opposed each other) the only way this really makes any sense is if it was set just after or before act 2 of the main story but it's not clear at all when it's set.

She's so annoying on lethal because there aren't too many attack opportunities; you're mostly counter attacking off perfect parries and dodges.
