Hi Eric, thanks for the CAGED lesson. I think what makes yours different from the rest is that you show how to rotate the chords for each letter of the CAGED. I'm not seeing other people do that......also using achievable triads as you mentioned. If you don't mind a suggestion.......At the end of the video, it would be helpful to recommend the next video to go to for expanding on what you've got here in this video. Thanks

Great video! For the C shape, I have to eliminate the 1st string because the only way I could bar the forefinger all the way to the 1st string and at the same time properly fret with the middle and ring finger would be to have surgery (same with the G shape). lol The 1,3,5 triad is still being played with the C shape, but without the 3 note being fretted twice. In some of your examples, it looks like you may be doing the same thing. In other words, not barring all the way down to the 1st string (or even barring at all, but maybe that's just the angle of the camera making it appear that way).

What make and model is that acoustic guitar? It has a nice tone and the notes ring our clean and clear.

I just realized again that not everyone can really teach a subject. I have watched hours of youtube videos and read books on the CAGED system, yet none imparted me as this video. Your pedagogy is simple, stepwise, and interesting. Your video is about 14 mins but I have spent 4 hours following closely every word you utter and imitating the shape of your hand. You're a maestro who just liberated an amateur guitar player from the CAGE of ignorance and set him on the path of guitar greatness. You just won a fan. Thanks a million!
